Talented, knowledgeable and great bedside manner!
He was recommended by my quack PCP and thank you, God, for that. Dr James did spinal surgery on me and I couldn't be more appreciative. He's experienced and smart and doesn't waste time. That's rare these days. And he sprinkles his good sense of humor when he sees you for appts. Upbeat and pleasant. I healed beautifully, thanks to God and Dr James! I think the unhappy patients were fakers and good Dr James saw through them and told them to try somewhere else.

Worst experience with a doctor in the medical field I’ve ever had. Rude and unprofessional, self centered and cared about himself not the patient.

I have had 2 separate spinal surgeries, he and his staff are the absolute best. He will tell you plainly if he believes he can help and what the risks are.

This punk was very disrespectful to me . Didn't go over x-rays or MRI results . Asking questions and answering them himself . Didn't even address my pain . My case is workers comp and he was so prepared to send me out the door I didn't even finish first page of stupid paperwork .the waiting room was full but somehow I was called back in three minutes . I wouldn't recommend this pissant to anyone .

I've been in Dr. James' care for many years. He is absolutely THE BEST. Even though my last name is the same, I'm not actually kin to Dr. James. But I jokingly call him "Bro". The whole team at Goodman Campbell Brain & Spine is wonderful. Over the years if I come across anyone who is needing spinal care to go to Goodman Campbell. Because they are the best in Indianapolis!

Saw him multiple times and he never showed me what he was seeing on the x-rays and CT scans. I was very glad I switched to another surgeon who reviewed those with me.

I was experiencing very bad pains in my back and legs. I tried physical therapy but didn’t work. Turns out I had a herniated disc. I couldn’t even pick up my 1 yr old and 3 yr old. I had surgery 3 months ago and because of Dr James, his assistant Jamie and amazing staff at G.C. the surgery was successful and now I am able to pick my kids up and have my life back. Thank you Dr James have recommended him to everyone.

You aren't even worth a star. You treated me like I was beneath you and like you knew everything about me and my health history...don't tell me I shouldn't be on disability when it does not have anything to do with you nor why I am here to begin with. Then you had the audacity to act like I had no reason to be there when my Dr referred me to your practice for a structural issue with my hip...which causes me severe pain at time and effects the nerves in my leg and pain. You are a pompous ***!!

Dr James called me a liar and said I wasn’t in the pain I claimed to be. He also disregarded my MRI results and said nothing was wrong with me! I went to him for help and instead left in tears. He was so rude and condescending. I wouldn’t recommend him to anyone.

I have a 15 year relationship with him after 2 back surgeries and a spinal stimulator being put in 4 years ago now I have leg pain that is making it difficult to work... I was told loose weight & increase my activity and it will help!! While no doubt there is truth to his recommendations meanwhile I still have serious issues going on that I felt was being ignored. I went to ER prior to visiting him and they did a CT Scan that 4 Dr's reviewed confirming I have collapsed spine, arthritis. Nothing!

He was dead set against physical therapy with me at any point after surgey. He released me without discussing my degree of pain with me. I was an invalid until my Personal MD prescribed some medication and gave me a referral to physical therapy. PT has helped me very much so far. I have to fault Dr James for being opposed to physical therapy! Being released from his care while still needing pain meds was, in my view, abusive.

Dr. James sincerely tried to find my issues. I had a discectomy years prior and have developed a lot of arthritis. Experiencing back and neck pain, neurotic in nature. He did not want to go in and just operate to try and relieve some of the pain because was not sure what the root cause was. Some of his associates made me feel like I was seeking pain meds and that was very upsetting. Pain was real and still is but something I must live with. .

Dr. James has the best bedside manners that I have ever run across in Indy. He is very kind and compassionate. He shoots straight with you and let's you know what is expected of you to get the best results. His office staff has also been one of the best, always going the extra mile to get the answers or information we needed, and in a very timely manner!! I so appreciate all of their help.

I felt like my issues were not address. He cut me off when I was address my back and pain issues and how the VA treated me.He reminded me that the VA told me that I needed to lose weight and do some rehab in which I might or might not get better.I told him about me losing 30 pounds on my current diet and that it is hard for me to get around and to work out due to the amount of pain I am in even with the current weight loss. He told me that I could still get to the refrigerator ok, I can work out
