Accounting chaos
I was over charged by their billing department and have tried for 7 months to get refunded. Their billing department said that Dr Cyr’s office has to issue refund. His office staff told me Linda (Dir. Operations) was the only person that can issue the refund. To date she has refused to call me back and I have left numerous messages with the office staff. Very frustrated

They explain in great detail and make sure you are 100% comfortable with the procedure. I couldn’t have asked for a better team to work on me! God has definitely blessed them with complete expertise, love for the patients and extreme kindness. I can’t recommend Dr Cyr and his staff enough! Thank you!!!!

Highly Recommend
I highly recommend Dr. Cyr and his PA Mary Vuong. I had a lumbar fusion of my last two discs performed 9 months ago and am very happy with my results. Prior to my surgery, I had burning sciatica pain and I could not sit for very long. At first, I was hesitant about having the surgery, but Dr. Cyr and Mary answered all my questions and concerns. I am so happy I got over that fear and had the procedure done. I am in physical therapy now and doing well. I was referred to Dr. Cyr by a close relative of mine who has over 15 years of surgery experience with a number of spine surgeons in the Houston and Sugar Land area. He has always been impressed with how meticulous Dr. Cyr is in performing his surgeries. Dr. Cyr is a top-notch surgeon and Mary Vuong has been wonderful with advice along the way. Thanks to you and your staff for your hard work and dedication.

I’m approaching full recovery!!!
Went through the wringer for two years with injections, bad advice and mismanagement from multiple medical professionals until I found Dr. Cyr. Met with Dr. Cyr and staff in July and had an operation in Sept. Now 6-7 months post operation and I’m approaching full recovery. Dr. Cyr saved me from, most likely, long term irreparable damage to my spine and lower body. He was extremely understanding, knowledgeable, and efficient getting me back on my feet. I can’t stress enough how incredible he and his team are. Never be afraid to get a second opinion. I had to go through a lot of sub par doctors before I found one who cared.

Highly recommend and very grateful
Dr. Cyr, You are amazing. In my early 30s I had horrible pain and was barely able to move and sleep. I wanted to avoid back surgery but my pain was too much and I felt it wasn't "fair" to my wife and the kids we wanted to have. You gave me my life back and my family and I are forever grateful. I have been completely pain free. Not only have I been able to play sports again but most importantly I am able to play with my daughter and live a normal life. The back pain I had is just a distant memory. Whenever I come across anyone with back pain, I let them know about my experience with you and to get in touch with your office and no one else.

Best neck, back Surgeon!
I'm a 55-year-old that had real bad neck and back problems. I was having trouble walking and standing for long periods of time. I was always getting epidurals from pain management and was tired of doing this for 5yrs plus. Pain management never told me that I was so bad that I needed surgery. I finally saw Dr. CYR in November 2022. We discussed my situation, and he said I was a great candite for surgery. Best thing I ever did. Day after my surgery, I could walk and stand again. Thanks to Dr. Cyr, I have been blessed with a second chance to do the things I want to do. This Dr. has the best bedside manners and takes his time to talk to you about your situation. Thank you to his staff and office for helping me though this.

Get 2nd opinion or a 3rd or a 4th
Having been told by a local neurosurgeon I needed a fusion from L3/L5, I went to Saspine for a 2nd opinion mainly due to the glowing online reviews. I was told that not only did I need L3/L5 fused but I should have the entire lumbar fused due to a herniated disc at T12/L1. When I said the previous doctor didn't recommended such a large surgery I was told by the physician assistant that "we should change all the tires at once and get it over with". I thought that was a bad comparison but thought maybe the first doctor missed something so I actually saw 5 more surgeons. All recommended the L3/L5 surgery and none the larger one. They each said the symptoms I was having were from the lower lumbar. I ended up having a successful L3/L5 surgery. Bottom line is I would recommend getting at least 3 opinion when having any major surgery.

My teenage son has bilateral complete stress fracture (pars defect). Some doctors won’t even see us because they don’t accept patient younger than 18 years old. A couple of doctors were skeptical or just frankly said that there is no chance for the fracture to grow back since the bones fell apart too far. After some sleepless nights we met Dr. Cyr, he came in and told us that there is still chance for the bone growing back. After 6 months treatment recommended by Dr. Cyr, my son’s fracture is completely healed. The surgery is avoided. Dr. Cyr saved my son’s life and his future. He is the best spine doctor for his knowledge and his compassion for the patients!

Absolutely “THE BEST” Top Tier Surgeon & Staff
I was referred by another spine surgeon to Dr. Cyr after two previous laminectomies, years of physical therapy, decompression therapy, two years of radio frequency ablations, and many more years of pain pills and suffering with back pain. After looking Dr. Cyr on the internet, I was impressed with his credentials; having trained at Mayo Clinic and having served as the Chief of Air Force Spine Surgery and Spine Surgery Consultant to the Surgeon General of the Air Force and Pentagon. I figured that he would be the best choice on which to seek spinal fusion surgery and so I was expectantly looking forward to meeting with him and discussing my options as all other attempts at alleviating my back pain had been exhausted. I was so encouraged after my first appointment. His staff spends ample time with the patient and explains in detail what to expect and what not to expect. The doctor does not even begin surgery until after conducting three extensive diagnostic tests in order to 1) ensur

Amazing bedside manner. I am a provider myself and I will send my patients to him. He stated to me.... “while on my operating table you are the most important person in my life”. In 17 years of being in the medical profession in some form I have never met a surgeon like him. Bravo.

Dr. Cyr is truly a virtuoso in orthopedic back surgery. It’s no surprise why patients from all over the world come to see Dr. Cyr. I could not sing his or SA Spine’s praises higher! In fact I have already referred three potential patients to Dr. Cyr because I know he will be able help them just as he helped me. If you find yourself dealing with any kind of neck, back, or spinal issue I would not hesitate for a second to reach out to SA Spine and Dr. Steven Cyr.

Today was my first visit with Dr. Cyr and his staff. I've had back problems for many years and it has recently gotten worse over the last few months. I was afraid to have surgery because of the lack of trust. After researching and seeing Dr Cyr at work first hand in the surgical setting and the professionalism show today I believe I have finally found the doctor and look forward to moving forward whatever that may be.

Dr Cyr has been a God send to me. He has operated on my neck and back. I have feeling coming back in my legs, my horrible debilitating headaches are getting less and less. I'm so thankful that I put out on FB that I was looking for a surgeon who would not just have his pocket book in mind and that actually cared about their patients. I swore under no circumstances would I have my spine operated on, Dr. Cyr and his staff made me few comfortable enough to have this done. We consider him to be a friend and love our visits. Everyone we have met personally and have only talked to on the phone have been amazing. There is no reason to even think twice, you will not be disappointed.

I have had the best experience with Dr. Cyr over every other spinal surgeon / orthopedic doctor in the area. He has fixed other surgeons errors and cares about my health and welfare of my back. I can not say enough good about my care from start to finish including follow-ups! He and his staff always take the time to hear me and listen to how I feel. I am unable to take anesthetic and medications for pain so I have had four operations with severe pain but Dr. Cyr understands my challenges and he and his staff care! If I have to wait for my appointment ..it is worth the time because He spends the time to listen to every patient. He truly is the best back doc in the WORLD!

Dr. Cyr was so professional and the confidence he exhibited when he explained the MRI and the X-ray of my back made me realize that I made the right decision to have surgery. I was still frightened but after my post-op with Dr. Cyr all of my fears disappeared. He made me feel that everything was going to go well and it did. It’s now six weeks later and I don’t have any nerve or leg pain. I have walked 4 plus miles in one day and two miles on a flat hiking path without stopping. I’m getting stronger each day but I have to hold myself back from doing too much because I feel so good. I am so grateful that I went to Dr. Cyr for my surgery and would recommend him to anyone who suffers from any type of back problems.

I have had terrible pain in my neck for many years with no relief from various medical professionals until I was referred to Dr. Steven Cyr. He preformed a minimally invasive procedure in October of 2018 which post-op I was virtually pain free. I just came back from my six month follow up were x-rays showed my two vertebrae successfully fused. I no longer have pain in my neck nor any pain radiating down my arms. This is the best I have felt in a long time. I highly recommend Dr. Cyr for spinal surgery. He is an excellent surgeon with good bedside manner along with his PA Paul Chen who provides good care monitoring me in my follow-up visits. His entire staff has made this experience a positive one.

The most truthful thing I can say, these folks are God sent. I matter to them, my family matters to them. We are great partners. If you are looking people to help you. You are doing yourself a disservice to not use them. They will see you not your file, they will listen to be sure they understand. They will treat you like family. Dr. Cyr, told me once that he would treat me as he wanted his sister or mother to be treated.
