Insulting and Passive Aggressive
Over a year ago, Dr. Colagiovanni medically gaslight me into believing nothing was wrong with me. He sent me to a PT who stuck a finger inside of me for less than a minute and charged my insurance hundreds. I do not believe there is any humane qualities about this man. He does not care for his patients. He overbooks and does not follow through. He charges you for less than a two minute interaction where it’s his way or no way. There is no partnership with him, if he believe nothing is wrong then you’re screwed. His office staff are overworked and always in a bad mood. I was able to find a urologist in boston who was able to correctly diagnose and treat me and needless to say, I am in a better place medically now. This man almost made me lose hope in myself. Please do not see this provider for any reason. You are worth more than what he can provide you. What you are feeling is not in your head. There is hope and proper treatment out there but you won’t find it with him.

Why is still licensed?
This guy may be the worst doctor I've ever interactive with. He is dismissive, doesn't understand how to manage patient pain, waits too long to react and should be drummed out of the profession. I think the only way he survives is from ER patients who are presented as possible kidney stone candidates and in the ER you can't research and avoid this clown. BTW, don't the the telephones in the office fool you, no one ever returns calls.

Avoid at all cost – Feb 27, 2024

He values quantity over quality
He takes on too many patients and isn’t available when you need him. Left messages about needing an in home nurse for my mom and I never got a phone call back. It’s now been weeks. My mom has to wear a catheter for the rest of her life and I called because she had pain in her lower right side of her stomach, the earliest they could see her was 5 days later. Well, she ended up in the ER because she had a blocked catheter tube. If you are the rare soul who actually gets to speak to the dr, he will give you 10 seconds of his time. He doesn’t like anyone questioning his decisions. I would NEVER recommend him to anyone. He is always overbooked which is why the quality of care is at its lowest. He doesn’t have time to deal with questions. He definitely has not given my mom the quality of care she deserves.

If I could give Zero stars, I would.....
Terrible - Waited an hour for a 5 minute, rushed appointment for my elderly family member, during which time the primary concern was not addressed. I interrupted the doctor and reminded him as to why we were there. He left the room without saying we were done and I didn't realize until I heard him in the next room that our appointment was over. He never greeted either one of us, (not even his long-time patient) and did not apologize for being an hour late. I will never go to this office again. Even his staff was rude.

Disgruntled – Aug 09, 2022

An extremely dismissive and insulting doctor. He truly does not care for his patients and when told about experiencing pain, he immediately accuses you of asking for opioids. Maybe years ago he was a good doctor but his practice overall and the on-call doctors are truly not in this field for the right reasons.

I have not seen the Dr in over 4 months, but have tried reach out to him with several phone calls, but never received a response! I'm wondering if his staff is not working to provide the best support they can offer the Dr

Dr. Colagiovanni is an exceptional doctor. He is caring, compassionate, and highly skilled. My family trusts him wholeheartedly. My mom has been under his care for the past year, and he cared for my dad as well. Dr. Colagiovanni brought them and us through some difficult times. I highly recommend him!

Yes, Dr. Cologiavani opens the door regardless of and inconsiderate of you not being fully dressed. He doesn’t listen and is more concerned with padding billables then helping his patience. Do I really need a prostate exam every time I walk into the exam room, which has been much too often without relief of my condition.

He is very non commutative. I saw him yesterday as a follow-up to a cat scan I had. Waited in the patient room for 10 minutes. He seem very weird to me always wearing seems like the same scrubs everyday. Appointment staff is very unable to keep the flow going. When he left the room I was still dressing, didn't help closing the end of the table I was on. Opened the door while I was trying to redress.

Dr. Colagiovanni is great but the staff that “supposedly “ returns calls on the answering machine are absent or just don’t care. Called to make follow-up for a CANCER review and no one ever returned my call, thanks! Poor likelihood of recommendation because of no contact with staff for an appointment. Since they became affiliated with Charter Care it seems no one cares except for Dr.Colagiovanni and I doubt very much if heis aware Except for a staff that only wants a paycheck

Dr. Colagiovanni is an excellent doctor and is extremely responsive. He returns calls promptly and also calls to keep a patient aware of all conditions of his/her problem. He is also very caring and through; I would recommend him to anyone with a urological problem.

I saw Dr. Colagiovanni for a 2nd opinion regarding Prostate Cancer. I was seen immediately and had his undivided attention. He initially wanted further diagnostics which we reviewed together at a subsequent appointment. He consulted his partners before meeting with us and was patient and thorough. We ultimately choose another option but we had every confidence in his opinion and surgical technique. If we need a urologist going forward he will be my 1st choice.
