Dr. Ash saved my life!
I came to Dr. Ash because, although I had no symptoms, my PSA levels were slightly elevated, and my internist recommended that I consult with him. While Dr. Ash was understandably concerned about the increase, he took a thoughtful and measured approach rather than rushing to a diagnosis. He began by prescribing two rounds of antibiotics to rule out any infection. When my PSA levels remained elevated, he promptly referred me to a specialist for a biopsy. The biopsy revealed a small amount of cancer in my prostate—something not entirely unexpected for a man in his 60s. Thanks to Dr. Ash’s thoroughness and proactive care, the cancer was treated successfully.Today, I am five years cancer-free, and I can’t thank Dr. Ash enough for his diligence and keen attention to my health. I’ll always credit him with saving my life!

Vasectomy was a success! I didn’t even flinch.
I was recommended to Dr. Ash by another doctor and I am very pleased that I chose Dr. Ash. The surgery went well and thanks to their recommendations that I followed. I had a successful recovery.

Excellent doctor!
I am extremely satisfied with the medical attention provided by Dr. Ash to my dad. Dr. Ash is not only an expert in urology but also a very caring and compassionate human being. He patiently took the time to understand my dad (who has a strong accent), answered all the questions to our satisfaction, and helped ease my dad's stress. Additionally, his staff including the front office and the nurses are also very courteous, friendly and provide a remarkable level of service. I am also very thankful to Dr. Monalisa Mitra for the referral to Dr.Ash. Thank you, Dr. Ash!

Completely Unresponsive to Patients
Had surgery for kidney stones and admitted to hospital in a great deal of pain post surgery. Hospital paged the doctor multiple times to get some relief for the pain and doctor never responded to numerous attempts to contact him. Finally hospital doctor stepped in to take over care.

Caring
Dr. Ash is a very kind and caring Dr. I have been a patient for more than 20years. I have been seeing him for bladder cancer and together we have kept it in check. I am grateful for his expertise and will continue to do so. I have recommended him in the past to several friends and he was able to help them as well.

My primary doc sent me to the ER because I had a huge kidney stone and she said urologists are so busy I would never be able to get an appointment. Dr. Ash came to see me later that day, ordered an x-ray and found the stone was even bigger than my previous MRI indicated. He came up with a plan, went in and blasted the rock and got all the pieces out. He came to check on me several times, and I really enjoyed his laid-back personality. In subsequent post-op visits to his office I found his staff to be very friendly and easy-going. My questions were always answered thoroughly and I feel very confident that I have received the best possible care. I would definitely recommend Dr. Ash.

Dr. Steven Ash is a quack & should not be in business. I had urinary frequency & urgency issues----he had me on CIPRO antibiotic for six (6)...yes 6 months for prostatitis. I told him it wasn't working----and some of my friends said i shouldn't be on antibiotics for 6 months..it wasn't good. His response was, "are your friends doctors"? What a total jerk. His office staff manager was a total witch as well. Course, come to find out I did NOT have prostatitis at all. Folks-----run the other way.......don't subject yourself to this lunatic.

The staff is not on the same page after a 30 min wait and 2 people that came after me I asked the receptionist why I was not called. She said that they see follow-up before procedures. I then was called in and I asked the MA why follow-up where seen before procedures. She said that they had appointments before me. I told her they came in after me and 15 min past my appointment time so if they had appointments before they where late. so the receptionist said one and the MA said something completely different. they need to get their story. Also I have seen Dr Ash for over two year and still have the same troubles. Do not use the office!

- I won't try and explain any of the other reviews, but I have been seeing Dr. Ash for 15+ years. I have always found him to be professional, knowledgeable, and extremely thorough. He discovered my cancer before I had any symptoms. Had Dr. Ash not recognized a small discrepancy in a test result, I would not have had a further test done that revealed the cancer...and I would have died years ago. I've never found Dr. Ash to be "loud" nor inattentive to me as a patient. I recommend him!

Dr. Ash is loud and does not listen to patients. He is one that is set in his ways. The scope of his abilities drives what he does. And at the end, you will get a handshake and a prescription. I've been to other doctors that take the time to listen understand and do test around symptoms. My inability to empty bladder should have been followed with simple sonogram. Nope, just wanted to put me on something and send me on my way. I later received bill for blood test that cost me thousands! BAD!

BEWARE. I had 8 kidney stones in me. I was referred to him by my Gynecologist at Baylor Grapevine. He recommended blasting the stones. The FIRST surgery, I woke up and he told me I had bad luck, said that he was able to get to 1.5 stones before they had to stop because my heart was going into an arrhythmia and then into pre-cardio arrest (said my kidney was too close to my heart - what? what?. He told me to wait 6 weeks until my heart was properly regulated and then to do the surgery again.

I blame myself for not doing more homework on this doctor. It was a difficult time and having this doctor did not help matters. Dr. Stephen Ash seems very disorganized and unprofessional. In 5 months, he did absolutely nothing for my husband. I kept asking my husband to get another opinion, but he thought this doctor was helping him. When we finally went elsewhere, my husband's health was so depleted. We found a new doctor, and now my husband is doing so mu

Very Bad Experience. There admin is very careless. I was blamed for them not updating there calendar when I showed up to the apt. on time (they said i was a day early bc they didn't make update). They also sent the wrong insurance id to the lab so I wasted my time fixing it. Dr. Ash himself does not understand you cant hand out antibiotics like candy. He ran tests and no signs of infection but he argued and negligently gave me an antibiotic shot that I suffered with for weeks.
