I won’t go back, although YMMV
This was my initial appointment. I waited 45 minutes to see the doctor. He was visibly rushed, did a quick digital exam, e-prescribed a medication and ordered a PSA blood test. BOOM. GONE. I’ve waited two weeks for my lab result without a call. Overall he came off as disinterested.

Fantastic Dr.
I had a great experience with Dr. Bruner. There’s a reason why this guy has a wait list to get in with him. I had a radical nephrectomy one week ago today. Dr. Bruner, his anesthesiologist Ryan along with the entire Baylor grapevine. Staff were amazing. I cannot say enough about my experience.

Next step was to schedule a time to laser the kidney stone to try and break it up. That was almost 2 months ago. I have heard nothing since.

Very good doctor
I has a kidney stone & ended up in the ER. He very thorough in what his thoughts were & plans. He was very professional & had good bedside manner. The follow up was easy to schedule & no issues. He took his time, was engaging, and answered all my questions. He didn’t rush as so many doctors do these days.

Excellent doctor
My routine visit with Dr. Bruner went very well. He answered my questions and gave pertinent information to me per 6 months past my surgery which steered me into a very positive direction. I highly recommend this caring and professional doctor.

Not a good choice for me
About 2 1/2 years ago Dr. Bruner did a lithotripsy on me to remove a kidney stone. Something went very wrong; I was never told any details. I ended up in the hospital for a week and had to get six units of blood. Dr. Bruner visited me once during that time. I was left in the hands of the hospitalist and nurses to guide my care and slow recovery. Dr. Bruner never called to see how I was doing, seeming to wash his hands of the mistake he made. To this day I still have problems that can be traced to that debacle. It was life changing. I never went back. He minimized the possibility of a bad result, which turned out to be ten times more likely than he said. Beware.

Disappointed – May 29, 2022
×Post a ResponseAre you Dr. Bruner?
Probably a good doctor overall. But the clinic's support staff is extremely worrisome. After seeing the Dr. one time, you're left to "map your own treatment." Literally. You have to schedule your own appointments, research what your condition is, research how to treat it, then give that information to the nurse practitioner. Then when follow-up appointments are to be made, you as the patient need to schedule such, then have your "plan of action" to tell whomever you see on staff that day (may literally be an office worker) what needs done, how to do it, when to do it, where to do it. As I said, probably a good Dr. overall, but if your condition is "off script", fuhgetabout it. That clinic is simply there to take money, write Rxs, see you in 12 months. Keep the patients moving through as quickly as possible.

I would advise new patients too be very careful when searching for a urologist, especially this one. I waited 8 weeks to see him and when I arrived at is practice in grapevine I was charged for the visit and to my astonishment, he wasn’t even there, he was either at home or at his other practice conducting doctoring on a tablet linkup. I never received a call from his office telling me he was not going to be available allowing me a chance to cancel the appointment. You need to consider that I was a new first visit patient with suspected prostatitis, and he wasn’t even there, what a joke. Who was going to perform the DRE ?. a member of the office staff ? Because he couldn’t do it. I think it just goes to show, that money is more important than patient care. Now I have to wait another 4 weeks to see new urologist, that 3 months I have had this condition without medical intervention. Thank you Mr Bruner, it’s a disgrace and you should be ashamed of yourself.
