This hack destroyed my mothers life! You shouldn't be worse off from when you went in for surgery, yet this is exactly what happened to my mother. She had no other health issues prior to seeing him. STAY AWAY!!!!

Dr. Johnson did my surgery and I have been complaining about pain in my neck and numbness that I have been experiencing. I met with him to address these issues and he did not offer any type of help or advice except see an other Dr. I found my last visit with Johnson was more about his ego vs my issues related to the surgery, I found his attitude very insulting and just wrote me off in a quick visit. I am completely shocked by his lack of understanding and honestly I will never go back to that office.

Dr. Johnson fixed my mother’s back then my sister-in-law’s mother’s back so he was the obvious choice for me when I needed back surgery. I have now had two procedures done by Dr. Johnson, both uncomplicated and successful. I have referred family and friends to him. I like the smallish hospital (South Shore Hospital) here in the Boston area where enormous hospitals exist in town.

Saw this man years ago for horrible neck pain. The worst doctor I have ever seen! Treated me with no respect or dignity! Very rude, only spoke to a tape recorder and even made negative comments about my previous neck surgery like I had it done on purpose! Left office in tears with no answer to my pain!

I could not move my neck at all. Was in extreme pain. Dr. Johnson operated on my neck 8 years ago. Replaced bones and discs 4 thru 7 on my spine. Replaced all of it with titanium. Replaced some of the bones. He saved my life. I recommend Dr Johnson to anyone who needs spinal surgery.

Amazing surgeon. He was not only my Dr when a work related injury happened. But I worked with him for years at SSH. I cared for his patients. And he is the only surgeon I refer my family too. When my daughter needed surgery I couldn't imagine trusting any other neurosurgeon to operate on her.

I wouldn't recommend this doctor to my worst enemy! He has no personality and treats people with disrespect. I suffered a failed surgery from this man, which totally altered my life. I became disable with a host of other related issues, besides back. He is very condescending and offered no direction with my health issues. Please stay away from this doctor as there are far more qualified neurosurgeons out there. His office staff were also very rude! Beware!

Dr Johnson performed my disc surgery, when I was in my 20's. I was in a terrible car accident. I started to have drop foot. After the surgery, I was as good as new for over 20 years! Unfortunately many years later, I re-injured my back, and have been consulted to have surgery, I live in Hawaii, but I am flying back to Mass, b/c there is no one else, that I would want to perform my surgery. Thank you Dr. J for giving me my life back, so many years ago. I look forward to working with you again.

I am an active female in my 30s who had a microdiscectomy for an L4-L5 disc herniation that had me absolutely crippled. Dr. Johnson was helpful before surgery in counseling me about treatment options, without pressuring me towards surgery. Now after the surgery, my pain is completely gone; I feel like a new person. Dr. Johnson and Kate Bills Woods, PA, have been great after surgery in teaching me how best to avoid reherniations. Thank you so much, Dr. Johnson for giving me my mobility back!
