Was referred to Dr. Chun for ongoing stomach issues. At my appointment she spoke to me for less than 10 minutes, suggested skipping meals, and then ordered a test with no explanation.

Failed Treatment Plan
I was referred to Dr. Chun due to issues with rectal bleeding. An appointment was scheduled with Marie Powers, ARNP who scheduled me for a colonoscopy with Dr. Chun. The test was conducted in December. A nurse walked me to my car afterwards and handed me an orange folder with the results from the procedure. I was told Dr. Chun did not see anything of concern during the test and so no follow up appointments were scheduled with her. We called the office the next day and were told it would take at least seven months for an opening to see Dr. Chun or four to see Marie Powers again. Since nothing was seen during the exam that concerned them, it was recommended to just wait five years before returning for another colonoscopy. The bleeding has increased over time. We are now in March 2023. I've just had a three night stay at the hospital for severe anemia due to blood loss resulting from severe rectal bleeding for which I was originally referred to Dr. Chun that was left untreated by her.

World Class Doctor!
This morning Dr. Chen and her team performed an Endoscopy with stretching and Coloscpy. The entire experience was flawless. I could tell right away that Dr. Chen comes out of one of the best medical schools in NYC.. Everyone involved was a consummate professional and had me in and out in two hours...Five stars all the way!!!!

I never personally saw the dr after waiting fir a few months to get in. When I did go I only saw the nurse who ordered a ct scan. I have never gotten a call back non results and called to set up patient portal. I never received the directions after being told they’d send them. Thus us beyond belief to not get Ct results back!!! Not acceptable. No wonder no one was in waiting room!! Worst experience ever

My husband was experiencing rectal bleeding. She called right away to ask specific questions, two days later she had performed a colonscopy, stomach biopsy, gave us the news that she found colon cancer and was very professional about explaining everything, got us signed up with a cancer planner, and ordered more specific tests through other doctors. She was very patient, kind and a very good listener. I only wish we could have kept her as our regular doctor.
