I saw Dr. Lee starting in fall 2019. She diagnosed with hypothyroidism and treated me for it for two years, after which I started showing symptoms of hyperthyroidism which, after having several tests run by an endocrinologist, was most likely caused by being mistreated for two years. In the meantime, the symptoms I actually came to her with I still don't know the cause, but I'm now getting tested for Celiac. When I reached out to her office about the mistake to prevent it in the future, she said she never diagnosed me with it (yet used that ICD code on every single insurance claim from November 2019), claims I had a severe facial tic when I first saw her (nevermind that I saw three separate providers about a brain injury around that time and none of them noticed that), and that she treated my thyroid as an alternative to prescribing antidepressants (which the endocrinologist says is unfounded). She "treats symptoms rather than trying to find the cause." Please don't see this doctor.

So it seems that the rare few people who had a bad experience are the only ones who write reviews. I've been going to Dr Lee for 4 years and never had any issues of improper billing, etc. I recommended her to my colleagues and they are also happy with her. She is very practical and her phlebotomist is an angel.

I've never put a review online but I think Dr Lee is not only a terrible doctor, she's potentially dangerous. she diagnosed me with a thyroid problem I didn't have and prescribed me meds that have grave side effects and are forbidden in Europe. she told me to start the treatment urgently as my thyroid issues meant I could become infertile, and kept having me come back. Honestly, don't go, and don't trust zocdoc's ratings like I did on this one. everybody is indeed nice, but not as doctors...

This office is a JOKE. They charge fees for visits that should not be charged, use improper billing codes to try to collect more money, email unusual invoices MONTHS after an appointment, refuse to prescribe standard, non-addictive medication that I need. Crappy little office. DON'T GO HERE.

Very good bedside manner, but behind the scenes is very greedy. One visit had 3 claims including (long office visit, health counsel and exam). It was 1 visit that was maybe 45 minutes, most of which was spent with her PA taking vitals. I had a sample taken and sent to a lab, which I was told would be covered by my insurance and anything that wasn't, the office would take care of. Now over a year later, they are still trying to look into why I owe the lab over $400.

Firstly, twice this doctor diagnosed me and I had to go to another doctor to treat the same issue and her diagnosis was really off. Secondly, they will tell you to have two examinations and disregard the fact that any insurance only covers one and charge you for the 2nd and not tell you until you get a bill. HORRIBLE. Thirdly, IF you happen to need to get a receipt from them, they will charge you a fee because they cannot afford to take a minute to send a digital receipt.
