The worst treatment I ever received!
I do not recommend Dr. Homofar at all. I had various hormonal imbalance issues and all she ever wanted to do was slap different kinds of birth control on my symptoms, rather than getting to the root causes. She also literally talked bad behind my back to the MA, about my mental issues and being frustrated and uncertain how to further help me. When I became pregnant, her very rude, dismissive nurse informed me that it wasn’t showing on blood work, and refused to allow me to see her without payment. Her staff were so awful to me & wouldn’t even schedule me to figure out what was going on, and get an ultrasound. Come to find, I was in fact pregnant as confirmed by a urine test & had an early miscarriage, which I confirmed with Summa Health. Please don’t waste your time and go anywhere else but this abominable office! They will utterly disregard you and your health concerns if you don’t have money or insurance, and spread misinformation about miscarriage and pregnancy.

birthing? beware. low regard for single mothers
I was referred to Dr. Homafar from an elder friend when I was seeking prenatal care. Initially my visits were pleasant until one day she suggested my husband support me with something and I explained that I did not have a husband. After that visit she was very cold towards me and no longer made eye contact. I was 20 at the time and did not understand that I had other options. When it came time to give birth, she had no regard for my birthing plan- she infused a sense of urgency, threatening that my child could die, getting too large in my womb if I don't allow her to induce my labor. My son was born at just over 7 pounds. She did not assist with the birth, a nurse ended up catching my son as they were unable to get her back into the room. When she showed up she was not apologetic, just firmly asserted that she was eating. When I tried to call the day after I was discharged I was informed that she was on vacation, which explained the 'urgency' that I birth my son on her timeline.

Dr. Homafar has been a very kind doctor for women. We are lucky to have her wisdom and professionalism. I enjoy seeing her ever year. Though my visit last year was billed incorrectly to my insurance and it took months of phone calls to straighten it out, she's a great doctor and it wasn't her doing.

She is never on time and do not care about her patients. If you want to see her, then make sure that you do not have anything to do that day. There are times that she did not even show up. If you like to seen by medical students instead of a doctor, then make appointment with her.
