Terrible Doctor and staff
This man should not even be called doctor let alone a specialist for RA. I saw him for over 4 yrs and he NEVER listened to my heart or lungs and never even put a hand on me to check joints. His staff leaves a lot to be desired. A receptionist gave me a shot once. She was in scrubs and when I ask what her job was next time I went in she said a receptionist. I don’t process enough bad words to describe the lack of empathy or compassion in his entire office staff. The office needs for HIPPA and inspectors to come in and clean house. Very unsafe practices going on in this office

He lets me know every visit about my little dog.
He seemed very curious and knowledgeable with diagnosis immediately, and medication.on my first visit. I felt hopeful. Now I cry after each visit over him saying he is allergic to dogs, and questions my hygiene. Last visit he said I put him, his staff, and all other patients due to my little Yorkie. In harms way. The past few days I have been in the bed with almost a clinical depressive break down, but thankfully I am feeling stronger, but I deserve better care. Surely my doctor takes medication for his allergies. My little dog is older, and has a progressive collapsing trachea. That tells me how long she has. Besides my faith, my dear husband, this little angel of mine Bonnie helps me go on. I would not recommend this knowledgeable doctor due to his lack of a compassion for the whole person. My prayers for all.

Dr Segar has been an outstanding physician. He was able to diagnose what was wrong and worked with me (almost daily for a while) to adjust my medication while he was treating me. If there were 6 stars I’d give him 7! He has my highest recommendation!

This doctor is not very good at communicating, and seems to have a problem with discussing matters with women. He is hard to understand, and seems to get very annoyed when asked to slow down and repeat what he has said. I would not recommend this doctor, especially to women.

Went to him twice. He never addressed the problem I went to him for. After showing him my problem To this days he has never referred me. Just keeps running tons of blood tests and prescribing a whole list of "lets try this medication". Not going back and I would never refer him. Besides he doesn't wash his hands after touching your body.

I have had the worst experiences with this Dr. Because of my insurance I've been forced into seeing him for years. He never listens to anything you have to say nor is he concerned. He is extremely dismissive and isn't willing to help with disability forms or fmla forms. I needed him to put down that I had RA for my work and he told me to get someone else to do it. He has the worst knowledge of this disease despite him supposedly specializing in it. It's been a very rough ten years.

Not unusual to wait forty to sixty minutes for your scheduled appt. even if it is early in the day. Poor attention to hand washing between patients. Need to check what he writes in your patient record because it is not always accurate (medical history, allergies etc.) Have had to ask the RN to correct the notes after 2 requests to him with no result. Suggest looking elsewhere if possible.
