This Dr is a my way or the highway kind of guy. He follows his little script to the letter. They don't even perform a urine analysis in their office. Who ever heard of a Real Urologist who doesn't perform a urine analysis in their office ?????I DO NOT RECOMMEND him, AT ALL !!!!!

I had questions and concerns about an up coming procedure. Dr. Parekattil answered all my questions and addressed all my concerns. He adjusted his schedule to accommodate those concerns. A very good listener and explained everything in terms I found easy to understand. Good communicator, very thorough.The staff were cheerfully professional.

My husband came in today for a consultation and was told that he needed to pay $173 out of pocket. We have an HRA that has over $2000 and the office refused to take it because we did not have a card. Even after showing proof that the money was in the account. Most HRA accounts do not have a physical card unless it is is a HSA or FSA account. That typically happens when offices don’t know how an HRA actually works or doesn’t know how to bill correctly. She did state she can call the insurance but she doesn’t know how long it will to get with the insurance. A.k.a I don’t feel like working today. Most offices that have up to date systems are able to pull up your insurance information and can see the HRA account and how much money is in the account. My husband also was trying to use his secondary insurance and the lady at the office told him she doesn’t know how long it will take to get in touch with the insurance a.k.a. Dr. P. is just an amazing Urologist. I've had 2 Turp surgeries performed by him. The first was done in 2017, and the second one in 2019. My prostate was about 10 times larger than the average male (220gms).I stayed for 2 days at South Lake Hospital. Dr. P left the next day for a seminar in Germany. He even called from Germany to check on me, which I thought was beyond the call of duty. I was having such terrible issues with an enlarged prostate to where I was was carrying a cup and a catheter with me at all times. I did a thorough research on him, before I made an appointment. I left my other Urologist and never looked back. I also like the idea that he was an Electronics Engineer before he became a doctor. My background is electronics, so I can understand the mindset of thorough troubleshooting etc when it comes to correcting problem(s) at hand. Dr. P will make sure that you have the absolute best care ever.

Excellent doctor and staff. A week after the surgery I already felt no pain an back to normal. Recovery time was quick. I feel that I am back to my normal self.
