Dr. Ayman Mahdy, MD

He was patient and did my procedure very well and I wouldn't want anyone else to do my case. Unfortunately he has left UC Health (cincinnati oh)

I had a painful kidney emergency situation on a late Sunday night of a three day weekend. He came right in and took care of me. During, and over the course of his treatment I was pain free. Even his PA Lorin was very professional, knowledgeable, and attentive. Dealing with the doctor and Lorin could not have been better. I'm 200% satisfied and lucky to be under his and his staff's care.

Attitudes flow from the top down from the doctor, NP, nurses, to office staff. Incorrect info to negligence is the order of the day for them.

For the past two years, it has been the most fortunate happenstance event in my medical history for me to be assigned to the care of Dr. Ayman Mahdy, MD, PhD, MBA. Dr. Mahdy is a consummate professional. His focus is on the medical treatment, care, and well-being of the patient. If a patient has a question, Dr. Mahdy willingly listens, then answers the question. He exhibits genuine concern for the welfare of his patients and goes to great lengths to ensure he has done as much as possible to help the patient. His intelligent assessment and approach to each patient’s medical condition speaks to his dedication to his medical art in furtherance of healing those in need of his services. His high rate of success and the quick recovery of patients who undergo a surgery conducted by Dr. Mahdy evidences this. These things I know to be true because they are true for me; I have experienced them. I am grateful for all Dr. Mahdy did for me in treating my medical needs.

Just completed my annual visit with Dr. Mahdy. Six years ago Dr. Mahdy saved my life. At ages 60 through 65 I experienced escalating unbearable bladder pain. After seeing many practitioners I found Dr. Mahdy. After a few sessions Dr. Mahdy recognized that the only solution was removal of my bladder and subsitute an ostomy bag. The operation was a complete success and I have been able to move on with my life and enjoy my family. I have not experienced any complications and continue to lead a normal life.

My journey with interstitial cystitis started in 2016. I had seen multiple urologists and gone through many procedures in an attempt to lessen the extreme pain of IC with absolutely no success. Meeting Dr Mahdy was an answer to my prayers. At my first appointment he was soft spoken and kind. He had reviewed and knew the details of my complicated history and immediately advised the treatment that would help me. After having surgery and treatment, I have minimal pain. I am so thankful to know I have Dr Mahdy to follow my future care.

I highly recommend Dr. Mahdy. I have been a patient of his for three years. He is very kind and courteous. He takes his time to explain my health conditions to me in detail to my satisfaction. He advises me to take precautions to maintain good health.

Dr. Mahdy has been treating my interstial cystitis for many years. He is a wonderful doctoir, with highly compassionate care and excellent bedside manners. Can't thank him enough for taking good care of me in his clinic for so many years.

DO NOT SEE THIS “DOCTOR” ESPECIALLY IF YOU HAVE SPINA BIFIDA!!!!!!!! I ALMOST DIED FROM COMPLICATIONS AFTER HE OPERATED ON ME AND HE DOES NOT CARE!!!!!!!! HE HAS NEVER TRULY SHOWN THAT HE CARES ABOUT ME AS A PATIENT!!!!!!!!

I’m a spinal cord injured, paraplegic. I have raging UTI causing all over burning neuropathy. After two days the culture came back and showed I needed IV antibiotics at 8am yesterday and the entire day went by without Mahdy or his office managing to set up my treatment in spite of at least six calls to the office and multiple emails begging them to help me. He and his office don’t seem bothered by a suffering patient. At least not enough to write an Rx within an eight hour day. I’m looking for a urologist with more empathy going forward.

Had to have two surgeries on my BPH ( prostate) due to his inability to get the first one right. In fact never spoke to him at the hospital. Spoke to my wife after both surgeries can stated I had Laser which I did not. According to his office nurses you can not speak to him. He will not return phone calls. His nurse practitioner is a total hack and should have never been given a license. PLEASE for your own health and safety stay away!

Horrible experience with Dr Mahdy... Still having trouble from surgeries 4 yrs later and he did not want to help me..I now go to pain specialist as a result of Dr Mahdy...

Very nice and caring doctor really listens to you

He was very patient with me. I had some bad experience with some other doctor's somewhere else. He was up front with me from the start.

after two bad experiences with urologists dealing(or not dealing with it really) with excruciating pain from interstitial cystitis, he has been a godsend. knowledgeable, has a plan, working the plan, referred to pain specialist who is addressing the problem instead of dumping more pills in my body. Fantastic experience. I have been listened to, validated and working on solutions. excellent caring physician.
