Dr. Shawn Donatelli, DO

This Dr was very ignorant. He disputed all previous diagnoses and treated me like I was there to get drugs and not pain relief. He told his nurse practitioner that I must think I’m smart because I was trying holistic approaches that existed centuries ago. And told me that most people that begin using pain med became addicts and refused to treat my pain.

I have never been to an office that was any less caring of my situation in my entire life. I have been suffering with the worst pain in my life for months on end with zero quality of life. My days have been spent suffering and crying in pain. I have not been able to sit, stand, walk, or sleep without suffering. I have expressed this many times to the staff and they do not care at all. The last dr ( his name is Patrick) would not even look at me when I was expressing to him that I could no longer go on living like this. I was begging for help and was refused any pain medications to help with my pain while I continued to wait for them to “decide what to do with me” My insurance denied a test that was completely unnecessary and because the dr couldn’t get his way, he basically said there was nothing he would do at this point for me. I have gone back to my family dr and have finally been prescribed medicine to help manage pain and am on my way to Cleveland Clinic to get properly treated.

Never saw him personally after initial visit except for injections. Always saw an assistant who never listened to my current complaints. Assistant Paula would walk in with script already written without listening or caring how I was really feeling. All cookie cutter treatment. No individualized treatment plans according to diagnosis and/or lack of relief with injections and prescribed medication.

Excellent Physician! Very knowledgeable & kind. Has treated me on several occasions and I wouldn't go to anyone else.

Snotty ,rude,uncaring ,too many hands in with all these pa ,really bad ,I'm very upset how I was treated

Our mother has been in excruciating pain since her fall on Oct. 26, 2019. Kyphoplasty on May 12, 2020 did not provide any pain relief. On Aug. 5, 2020 Dr. gave our mother a steroid epidural which has been a blessing. THANK YOU, Tammy V.

He gave my husband very high doses of powerful opiates every month and never saw him. This continued for many years. He just about killed him. It destroyed our lives. He is left with so many long term side effects of these pills and doctor Donatelli could have cared less. He shouldn’t be practicing.

They will make multiple unnecessary appointments just to pay for the new hospital. I never see the doctor only asst.

I had a very short doctor/patient relationship with Dr. Shawn Donatelli, while he was at Tiffany Pain Clinic in Boardman, Ohio. As God is my judge, he, and his office manager were the most uncaring people that I have ever dealt with, and quite frankly; I don't know how he got involved with such a highly rated organization, as Southwoods. Southwoods facilities are first class, and Ed Muransky has outdone himself with his staff, their professionalism and service. I was traveling back and forth to Cleveland every month because my doctor of records was also my pain management doctor. I had many surgeries due to an industrial accident, which were mostly done in Cleveland. Total waste of time..never looked me in the eye, or asked relevant questions of how I was feeling, how my treatment affected me.

It was all good in the beginning Within 2 months he was just like every other doctor. ( moneyhungry) Did nothing for my pain. I Had a pain pump With morphine In it and because he could not get the medication approved that he wanted in it he would not turn it up anymore. He could not get it approve because of all the Serious negative side effects. His report writing made you seem like the bad guy. Run Run Run.

Dr Donatelli is a very good . I have been a patient of dr Donatelli ‘s for many years for pain control. I have faith in him ! Also his nurse practitioners are very good !

I had back surgery in 2013 with no relief of pain after surgery and was referred to him. At first when I saw Dr it started out well. But, then he becomes very judgmental and is not interested in what you have to say, speaks down to you, then won't let you reply, and leaves the room! His ego gets in the way of necessary treatment and your care!! If you are expecting a continuity of care, forget it!! You will see him for the consult and post op care then will ONLY see his physicians assistant!!

I started seeing Dr Donatelli years ago, & it started out good I have intractable epilepsy that is not controlled by medicine So I continue to have grand mal seizures even while on medication I had no sensation so I suffered alot of injuries,& still have seizuresNow that Ohio/DEA has come down on pain doctor's things changed I would go in for appts & my meds would be changed I bring back pills because I told them they weren't working & I couldn't afford them He took my referral from Psycare

Forget even going to this Doctor unless you enjoy waiting for an hour for a 5 minute consultation and waiting 6 weeks for a follow up appointment. Terrible.

Felt very uncomfortable. He is very judgmental and more interested in talking instead of listening and asking questions.

I was in the ER for a possible hernia,so I called his office&got the answering service.It was late I understand but they never called back to tell me what to do about the pain medication.I had a prescription for Norco & was in pain from the hernia.The office did not call in the morning,I called them. After several more calls& no response, hours later I went to their office to find out my DR wasn't in& no one seem to know what I was talking about.The next day I got a call telling me not to tak
