Compassionate and expert care!
Dr. Provenzano and his team have been an amazing blessing to me. When I came to the practice, I felt pretty hopeless about my back pain improving to allow me to go about a normal lifestyle. I am so happy to report that I have improved more than I could have ever hoped for! I feel better than I have in years, and have hope again! They didn't give up offering options to improve my pain and mobility. It has truly been life changing! Without surgery, and without narcotics. I can't recommend this practice highly enough. A true blessing! Thank you from the bottom of my heart!

Superficial doesn't genuinely care
The office staff is nice. The doctor didn't examine me. He looked at my test results and said you need surgery. I told him I didn't want to do that. He said all he could do was give me gabapentin - that I should lose some weight. If I lost weight he would treat me. He didn't seem to care that I was in extreme pain. I was uncomfortable as he came in the exam room with several people and I wasn't introduced to them. He wouldn't answer questions and was only in the exam for less than 5 minutes. He did nothing for me and I am not returning.

I Got my back, back
Appt today was for a visit to see Dr. Provenzano on how my back procedure turned out. I was a number 8 in pain before this procedure and now I am at a 2, which is wonderful for me. He cares for his patients and really wants the best for them. I really believe his goal is to help you out as much as he can to relieve pain that you may be dealing with. My parents go to Dr. Provenzano and he has worked with them also.

Follow up review
Just following up on my original review from 12-23. I am now 4 months post spinal cord stimulator implant. My right side pain was a 10, I was unable to walk without assistance. Dr Provenzano gave me my life back. How do you thank someone for that! I had an emergency appendectomy( not related to implant) 3 days post implant. Dr P was so concerned for my well being that he called me in the hospital. I feel SO fortunate that he is my Dr. I recommended him to my neighbor and she is equally thrilled with her outcome and care. Nurses Karen & Jessica are a joy to work with!

Pain stimulator
I have been seeing Dr. Provenzono for probably 4 years for both back pain and neck pain. My back pain was resolved with a radio frequenc on the nerves at the point of the pain. My neck pain was more of a challenge. After several tests to see if the same process would work on my neck the doctor and I decided to try the stimulation process. He was very good at describing all the procedures I had and very concerned the other process did not work. I had the stimulator put in on March 31, 2023. I now have a 85 to 95% reduction of my neck pain. I can now do what I love, quilt making, and also other activities. In a the process of this whole experience, I tried acupuncture, chiropractic, and massage to no avail. I am so happy with the results of the stimulator and even though it took so long to get to this point I feel Doctor Provenzano worked with me with compassion and diligence. I would recommend that any one with acute pain to go to him and have him help you find results like mine.

Competent and professional as well as personable !
He listened to all my husband had to say after going over all of his test results. Was very veridical in all he said. Answered all of his questions, was very gentle when performing the procedure. All staff went out of their way to be helpful and very friendly. My husband will continue to use Dr. Provenzano for his pain doctor. The steroid injection helped him to be able to move about more freely without using any pain medication! Thank you Dr. Provenzano

1ST APPOINTMENT EXTREME REJUDICE DISRESPECTFUL
Went to see this doctor about a spinal cord pain stimulator. He never discuss the topic with me. Instead he start asking me repeatedly if I was addicted to prescription medications and kicked out of my previous Dr program. When I tried to explain I asked my PCP to refer me to a new pain specialist Dr Provenzano said he was not going to argue with me and continued to ignore me and ended the visit.

Gave me my life back!
I had been to a pain management office and multiple physical therapy treatment prior to seeing Dr. P, but he just jumped right in and took care of my issue at its source. From YEARS of lying in a heap on the couch, back to my normal life pre-accident, his TLC made it possible. Can't thank him enough. And Jessie, his Nurse, is always a joy to deal with.

Very Likely I already have done that
I was seen by the staff in a timely manner. Everyone was very friendly and professional. Physicians assistant did a preliminary question and answer session asking about symptoms and concerns. Doctor Provenzano came into exam room and also went over symptoms, explained options and devised a plan of treatment. He answered all questions in detail and made me feel pretty confident a non invasive procedure would work. One month after the procedure I am pain free and am thankful to the doctor and his staff for returning me to a more productive and normal lifestyle.

Unable or unwilling to diagnose
I was having neck and shoulder pain with terrible headaches. I went to Provenzano because he gave my husband excellent care. I had an x ray and some PT that did nothing for me after a few visits I felt like he was not listening. I ended up going to a neurologist who diagnosed me with Optical neuralgia which I have been getting nerve blockers for with success. Just today I got by email from his office an article about Optical Neuralgia and the treatments etc. It made me mad that I get this article when he didn't have the time to consider this while I was suffering with it. I had recommended him to two of my friends who had the same experience although with different problems. I wonder why my husband received such good care when myself and two other women were treated with such disregard. He is a good doctor but definitely treats women different than men.

Dr Provenzano and his excellent staff significantly reduced the pain and cyatica caused by a bulging disc at S1. Dr Provenzano inspired me to do my best at PT with Steve Hoffman’s group and I get stronger every day. He also addressed several cervical spine issues that were so painful I couldn’t drive and barely get any sleep. In 1 month I’m almost pain free. Thank you Doctor Provenzano and your staff! I previously left a 5 star review (dated 4/11/21) for this doctor. I still wish I could go to him. However, in May of this year, I was scheduled for a genicular nerve RFA. I had a diagnostic test procedure and then was scheduled for the RFA. Prior to the actual procedure, I was contacted by Kristy, office manager. She said I had to pay upfront $175 for the doctor and told me it would cost around $300 for the surgical center. I have great insurance, but she refused to submit it to Aetna, saying it was not covered. I told her if it was not covered, that I would get a denial and could appeal. She said there was no appeal. Aetna insurance rep called her and was told the same thing, that she refused to submit. I wanted to talk to the doctor but was told no. So I would like to ask Dr. Provenzano: are you aware that Kristy is asking for money from your patients? Do you agree with this? I will now find another doctor, one that has a staff that will help the patient without being so nasty.
