I changed pulmonologists in June 2023. Dr. Valenzuela saved my life!! On my very first visit she established that I either had Valley Fever or a tumor. She determined that by records from my previous pulmonologist who basically did nothing with multiple CT scans. She tested me for Valley Fever and established I didn’t have that and determined I had a tumor and referred me to MD Anderson, Dr. Broussard. He eventually removed the tumor after 3 sessions of chemotherapy. Had I not switched to Dr. V, I’d be dead within one year. She is a fantastic Pulmonologist and has treated my daughter and a friend of 50+ years.

She was very nice and I feel like she was really listening to me. I feel like she is going to do everything she can to address my issues.

With Dr. Valenzuela since early 2017. A lung nodule was found on a CT scan. I continued to have CT scans under her care to monitor the nodule. In early 2018 a CT scan she ordered also showed an incidental finding of a 3.9 aortic aneurysm. She failed to mention that finding to me. Had I not read the report a few weeks later, it would have gone unnoticed. This is a grave error, because most deaths from aneurysms happen because they are not discovered before they rupture. Am no longer her patient.
