Professional, caring, takes his time. Rare 4 a Dr.
The office environment is welcoming and his receptionist Lisette is always friendly with a smile on her face. Dr. Chacin listened to me without interruption while I told him what I was experiencing. He then started to examine me and took his time about it...something that is rare for doctors who just want to get the next patient in. He explained what he thought was happening in fine detail and even showed me what he was saying on an anatomical model of the spine and pelvis. During the procedure he even had a playlist of my favorite artist (because he asked he beforehand who it was). I've never felt more listened to and understood. It took a couple of treatments, but I went from having to walk with a cane to being able to work out at the gym again. He's my pain management doctor for life now.

RFA - Gone Bad
Dr. Chacin gave me the most painful RFA ever. The aftermath of my RFA back in 2020 was incredibly painful. The Dr asked me if I wanted sedation prior to the RFA and I said yes and he said that none of his patients require sedation ( made me feel like I was weak ) so I declined sedation which was a huge mistake. The RFA machine shut down in the middle of the RFA and had to be rebooted and worked on meanwhile I had needles in my back burning the heck out of me. I will never forget this horrendous experience. The pain that I experienced for 2 weeks after this failed RFA is something that I will never forget. Run don't walk away from this pain doctor.

The doctor seemed nice but the woman that runs the office is terrible. First she didn't respond to my voice mail to make an appointment. That should have been my first sign that something was wrong. I finally called enough times that she answered the phone and was forced to make the appointment. Then she was supposed to get authorization for a procedure which she never did. I left multiple voice mails and finally 5 days later I called again and got in touch with her. She told me she just had not gotten around to calling the insurance and would let me know when she did. She never did. How is it possible that the doctor does not realize that his office manager is turning away business? Why should I have to call multiple times a day and beg her to do her job? Its ridiculous. So now I have to start all over again.
