I strongly recommend Dr Kinkhabwala as an endocrinologist. I have been in his care for many years now and I am so grateful for his support.

Honest and Smart
Dr. Kinkhabwala is genuinely interested in solving problems. I have diabetes. He's brutally honest and yet sincerely cares about my health. His assistant Michelle is nice and he's always seen me on time. If you need a top notch endocrinologist then definitely make an appointment with Dr. K.

Supportive Physician
Dr K is fantastic. I’ve been seeing him for 7 years and he has helped me to improve my health dramatically. He isn’t warm and fuzzy but he is incredibly smart as an endocrinologist. Do what he says and you’ll be so happy. I have recommended him to others and they agree.

NOPE
Dr. Kinkhabwala speaks in ways that are hard to understand if you haven't gone to medical school, and when you respectfully ask follow up questions, he treats you like an idiot. Super curt and condescending and has a god complex, which is ironic since he seems incapable of communicating effectively with those in need of his guidance. After my first visit, I thought he must have just been having a terrible day. But after my second and third visits, I realized it's his perpetual state - no matter how tactful/humble you make yourself. Definitely in the wrong profession. You might get the meds you need from him, but you will leave his office feeling poisoned by his energy.

Very Supportive Physician
I have been seeing Dr. Kinkhabwala for several years and have always had very good experiences with him and his staff. He is supportive and very solid in his ongoing communications with me. He has made some significant changes to my diabetic-related treatments that have gone quite well. I would recommend him to anyone needing support for their diabetes.

Been a patient for a few years now, very satisfied. I'd been under the "care" of an alternative health doctor who unfortunately was a quack, Dr K was recommended and he got me on a proper course of treatment. I find him friendly and easygoing, but he's not *overly* friendly though.

I was his patient for about 3 years. In great pain, I asked him if Ozempic could be the cause. He was very nasty, snapped "no, it could not" although Ozempics' website warns in case of pain to see your physician, he said " there's nothing I can do for you". 30 mins later another doc. sent me to the ER where a CT scan and sonogram revealed a very large abdominal mass. He is irritated by questions, has a contemptuous attitude towards the patient, gives 1 word answers, has calculated 5 mins per patient. He is totally lacking in compassion and in my opinion is in the wrong profession.

Dr. K is a great listener, thorough and thoughtful physician. He is very has never rushed me through a visit. I've been to other endocrinologists who do not compare to his professionalism, compassion and care. I highly recommend him!

One of the worst doctors I’ve ever seen. Arrogant, dismissive, rude, and not nearly as smart as he thinks he is. I’d rather stay sick than be talked down to by this eye-rolling control freak.

Dr. Kinkhabwala was extremely rude to me when I arrived only 5 minutes later than my scheduled appointment. He was very dry and not easy to talk to, and I would definitely NOT recommend him.

First meeting went well-- took a lot of notes and took time to know my history. He prescribed meds that I had questions about. When I was able to reach him, he was condescending and short with me. When I needed to get a refill on his prescription,I called his office multiple times and left messages. No call backs, no follow up, nothing. Not recommending him at all, despite Cigna giving him a 4 star rating for "Cost Effincency." He may be efficient for them, but he has no soul.

Has been a difficult Dr. His arrogance and condescending tones and tardy response to renewing meds have been borderline irresponsible. His lack of empathy is old-world medicine at its worst.

After 30 years of great care at NYU and it's doctors, having an appointment with Kinkhabwala was the WORST experience of our family's lives. My son needed a new endocrinologist and on a very rainy , traffic jammed NYC he was 14 minutes late after leaving his chef position early and losing pay the Doctor would NOT see him. We couldn't believe he schedules appointments at 15 minutes. So much for giving time to listen and get to know new patients. The office is seedy and the staff is depressed.

I was referred to Dr. Kinkhabwala by my gynecologist. I made an appointment, and was able to be seen within the week. The reception area is a bit dingey (its currently under construction). However, I've never waited more than 10min to be seen and am typically out of the building within 30min of my appt time. After each appt, I get a call within 24 hours with my lab results. His hours are great, and if you call a week in advance you can typically get an appointment before 9:30 am within a week.

Cold and clinical but is likely a good doctor. Had several problems with staff. Most calls except making an appointment go to an answering machine. Messages are not transmitted properly or are possibly ignored. Chased me for bill I could prove I had paid (by check). You pay $30 to receive your results via the web but the site was broken. The doctor was rude when this was pointed out. Took 3 days to get a prescription refiled because the doctor apparently left out vital information.
