Dr. Emmons saved my life in 1997 from cervical cancer. I had my baby girl 5 months prior to a radical hysterectomy . I was 37 at the time and am now 60 and that baby girl I was blessed with. Zamia is now 22 and having her first baby in November 2021. THANK YOU DR. EMMONS

I just didn't feel she took my concerns seriously. Over the past few months, I'd had multiple episodes of intense pain and ongoing tenderness in my abdomen that after the briefest exam, she determined was nothing to be too concerned about. I ended up in the ER a few days later with intense abdominal pain which was determined to be a golf ball size hemorrhagic cyst on my ovary. A follow-up appointment and ultrasound showed there may have been two cysts that size. The second doctor I saw was definitely able to find them with a physical exam. I absolutely understand that doctors are going to miss things, but I can't help but feel that the exam I received was sufficient to say with confidence there was probably no cause for my concern.

I had my second prenatal visit with her and she mad me feel like I was a bother and she had better things to do. This was the first time was able to hear babies heartbeat and she let me listen to it fora whole 2 seconds. She ever sat down or explained what was going on with me or baby in this stage of pregnancy. She set my next appointment for 8 weeks out instead of 4. Pregnancy appointments are supposed to be exciting and she made it very unappealing.
