Dr. Sandhya Mokkala, MD

My family (three generations) have been patients of Dr Mokkala for over 15 years. She's a no nonsense professional who is willing to listen to find the right solution. Very knowledgeable and trustworthy.

I have been seeing Dr Mokkala for several years and am dumbfounded as to the negative reviews. I have never had anyone in the office be rude to me, in fact, quite the opposite. Dr.Mokkala handles my problems efficiently and always calls in my prescriptions and arranges for specialists as needed. In the past, I have had several doctors who never spent any time with me and I always felt rushed and unheard at each visit and would leave frustrated. I have not experienced that with Dr, Mokkala. The nurse is the most efficient office nurse I have had the privilege of attending me. I can count on her to make sure I have the appropriate referrals for specialists and that I have what I need from the office. Perhaps the negative reviews were mostly personality differences but that is difficult to judge from reading the reviews. Also I know that it is easier to leave a negative review than to take the time to give a positive one because it just doesn’t occur to us that they are necessary.

Dr. Mokkala and her office staff are frequently disorganized and make many mistakes. One such mistake was failing to call in a prescription that I needed for my chronic neck and back pain. This caused me to experience a great deal of pain and suffering. I severed my relationship with Dr. Mokkala for failing to treat my near constant pain.

If she knew what she was doing she would have sent me fir a brain MRI when I went to her in March after having 2 seizures. But no, Isherwood sent me for a neck MRI. Finally got I. To see a professional in August and by then the tumors had spread all up in my brain. Now I can’t walk or see all thanks to Dr Mokkala not knowing what she was doing.

The first time I saw her I was really disappointed in all the other doctors I had seen before her. She was so thorough. She is very nice and she doesn't miss a thing. . Ever The second time I saw her I went to the emergency room at St Joseph and she was treating patients I was so happy that it was Dr. Mokkola. She treated me and asked me to call her office for a zoom appointment. To follow up. I have wanted to have a doctor of Internal medicine for years. Internal medicine takes many years in college. They are the best kind of doctors especially now. I don't know what these bad ratings are about. The staff and the doctor are busy.and yes sometimes they don't smile or hug me. But I am getting the best care available. If the nurse or doctor are ever short with me it's because I'm not doing my own part in my care. InHIGHLY recommend you make an appointment at Dr. MOKKOLA'S NEW OFFICE. Go see them and pay attention do all of the test. You will be well in no time. She is an AWESOME Doctor and She has an EXCEPTIONAL nurse and staff. I ADORE Dr. MOKKOLA . Elizabeth B.

Dr Mokkala is always pleasant and professional. She takes the time to listen and shows that she cares about her patients.

I have been seeing her for years. Usually if you are sick and call in the morning you will see her in the afternoon. She has even called me at night to follow up. When the office is closed she sometimes answers the phone. Most importantly she knows her stuff and is great at diagnosis. I do not go to her to visit an old pal, I go to her to see a great doctor which she is. I have recommended many friends to see her and almost all call me to say how good Dr. Mokkala is.

Dr. Mokkala is the worst doctor I’ve ever seen. She’s very uncaring with no compassion. She just doesn’t care. She’s condescending and arrogant. I got out of there ASAP. Too many second chances. Read the other reviews. I’m telling you, don’t waste your time and health.

Dr. Mokkala has no heart to seriously I'll patients!! If you're Healthy and just need a dr to confirm that, you're in the correct office. Rude staff !!

I liked Dr. Mokkala very much, short wait to see her, all my questions were answered. She is very thorough, as this was my first visit with her. Staff was very nice, friendly, & efficient. I had to call the office a couple times about referrals, orders that were sent, they were very helpful. So glad I decided to use Dr. Mokkala!

Extremely unimpressed. Looks like a very temporary office set-up too. Were it not for insurance, this is not a doctor I would use or recommend.

Years ago when my insurance recommended Dr S Mokkala, I fell in love with my doctor & then broke up with my insurance company. She is one of the most competent, caring, compassionate and observant doctors I have ever seen. I recommend her services to everyone.

Call office and hard to speak even to medical assistant. You can totally forget the dr.calling you or even speaking to you on the phone even when you tell medical assistant you feel it's important. My problem was a Blood Pressure problem and each time new medicine added was the answer. None taken away but just another added on top of those already given. Dr. does not seem to listen to patients and that is a sad situation. Seems to be just get them in and out.

Dr. Mokkala is a very concerned and caring doctor. She spends a lot of time with the patient and listens to all concerns. If she feels that the patient needs a specialist she will promptly refer that patient to the specialist for the particular problem. She is very concerned if the patient is having any side effects of a particular medication and will quickly either remove the medication or try another medication in its place. Dr. Mokkala's nurse is very friendly and efficient.
