They changed office staff about 2 years ago and the office has gone downhill. The new staff Joann calls everyone hon or sweetie - not professional. When she calls to confirm your appointment she is on speaker phone so it is hard to hear her. Also unprofessional. It used to be such a pleasant office. Now the doctor is only in 1 day a week and it takes months to get an appointment.

Dr. Gupta and his staff leaves a lot to be desired. He has been caring for me for about six months and I needed a refill on my prescription. I called his office for a refill and I was told by his Long Beach staff they cannot call in a refill because he was out of the country. I would have to go to an urgent care or my PCP and see if they can write me a prescription. I asked, “isn’t there a covering doctor?” His staff said no and like a robot or rehearsed script continually repeated you’ll have to get your doctor to, or go to an urgent care for a script. I thought Dr. Sandeep Gupta was my rheumatologist. Well I guess I was wrong. How can a doctor leave the country and does not leave a covering doctor? As for his staff, two of my appointments were canceled in the past without my knowledge. When I showed up, I was informed by his staff I canceled the appointment. I am a registered nurse and care for many ill patients, however I never witnessed anything like this.
