Compassionate
I first met him in the hospital and was so glad for him and Dr. Kunal Nandra, who are extremely sensitive and kind around GI issues. I really believe he tries his best to help a complex problem, referred me to a great physical therapist, and is generally available (one month vs five month waits)

Horrible experience with this doctor and the office. Was billed $1500 for a 5 min visit that was not helpful whatsoever. The doctor didn't even follow up regarding lab results, which took forever to be completed because his office didn't tell the lab what tests needed to be performed. My insurance has also been dealing with this office regarding incorrect/bogus billing codes that were charged for no apparent reason and my insurance company has informed me that I should not pay Hackensack because Dr. Shah's office is at fault for incorrect billing.

Greedy and irresponsible is how best to describe this man. He performed a colonoscopy on my aged father which culminated in a heart episode as this was so tough on his system. What he discovered wrong with him could have been found out by taking a fecal sample first...avoiding such an invasive procedure for a senior. He list investing as one of his hobbies on another site. I hope this creep sleeps well at night. Also, he never communicated with my father after the procedure..only his partner checked in once and he was no breath of fresh air.
