Dr. Sam Stokes III, MD

Dr Stokes staff cancelled my husband’s procedure but didn’t bother to let us know. We found out when we arrived at the hospital. Not good at their jobs. Didn’t seem to really care about patients. We are switching doctors.

Dr. Stokes completed a procedure on my mother that is now causing significant discomfort without the urological benefits that were described to her. She has been trying to get follow up appointments to discuss the reversal of the procedure but Dr. Stokes is either avoiding her or does not have the capacity to provide the necessary follow up. I have read the the positive reviews for Dr. Stokes and note that some are now several years old which may indicate that the office is now overloaded and cannot manage existing patients. My mother heard good things about him and that gave her confidence to proceed with the procedure. The challenge she has gone through would not be acceptable to anyone. I am writing this for the next reader thinking of Dr. Stokes office - major improvements are necessary. The reviews are either 5 stars or 1 star - this is another 1 star. Disappointed that a doctor's office believes this is the way to manage patients.

Nurses are rude

I’ve seen Dr. Stokes for 8 years. He is a patient & sympathetic listener. He is calm, unhurried. This inspires confidence. He is thorough, knowledgeable, & up-to-date in his approach. He is an excellent communicator. I feel secure in my understanding of the problem & treatment. I like his comprehensive approach. He is alert to how other health issues affect me. His office is well run & his staff is always professional, courteous & helpful.

I had surgery and other issues with which Dr. Stokes and his office helped. He was very professional and sympathetic. He took the time to ask questions about my condition, listen to my concerns, and explain thoroughly the procedure used. I had done a lot of research beforehand regarding my somewhat rare issue, and he was up-to-date on the latest research and used the most current surgical technique. His office is extremely professional and efficient, and appointments were easy to get and prompt.
