Dr. Sally Grogono, MD

I had history with Dr Grogono from years ago and always really liked her. Decided to see her to take over my HRT care for perimenopause (which I am on from another Dr and doing well). Absolutely terrible. She was dismissive and argumentative about everything I’m on, fat shamed me, said I may need a uterine biopsy but “dont ask for pain meds, we don’t do that.” It was shockingly awful. All the prescriptions she called in were wrong. I have never had such a bad dr experience and it was such a shame.

After trying several gynecologists after being out of the OB phase, I am so pleased to have found Dr. Grogono! She listens, her staff is extremely professional, and is thorough with making sure every option is pursued. She is by far the best GYN I have had. Recommend at the very highest.

After multiple visits, I realized that our first negative encounter was not her just having an “off day”, but that Dr. Sally Grogono is dismissive and has terribly poor bedside manner. When we asked about our plans for the delivery, she replied with “we don’t read birth plans”. She is not welcoming at appointments, and did not make either myself or even my husband feel respected, heard, or valued in any way as a patient of hers. She always seemed eager to get out of the room as quickly as she could. We were not supported during our time with her and I certainly would not have felt supported during delivery if we had kept our care with Dr. Grogono. We discontinued care with Dr. Grogono and Ascension Seton because of our negative and disrespectful encounters with her. Luckily, we found a new provider (not affiliated with Seton) who smiles when she walks in, actually greets you, and was willing to discuss birth plan options.

Dr. Grogono is kind, enthusiastic, knowledgeable and she cares. One year when I was going through a tough time, she made all the difference. She goes out of her way to give you the care that you need. She is amazing!

I’ve been seeing Dr. Grogono for over a decade. She delivered both of my babies (2 c-sections) and I’m so thankful to have her on my side! She listens and takes time to really understand, and gives thoughtful, honest answers to my questions. 10/10!

Dr. Grogono, is always pleasant and excited to see and chat with me about my current health and wellness. She’s interested in what’s happening with me since our last visit, listens and make observations about further treatments to resolve my concerns or issues. It’s so comforting to know that she really cares about her patients health and wellness. I am very confident in her abilities and treatments render, and have recommended her to others without hesitation.

Overall Dr. Grogono is a good doctor, very warm but she doesn’t fully listen to her patience. when I repeatedly told her that after birth that things didn’t feel right down there, she brushed it aside as “normal”. A year later I explained things were different and it was even difficult in having bowel movements. I asked for a PT recommendation and she brushed it aside and said it’s “normal”. I finally went to a PT and they confirmed that I had issues down there and they could be repaired with PT. Just because it’s “normal” doesn’t mean it’s healthy. That is the main reason, I won’t return. I also had a not great experience of her not following up to check on me after sending me to the ER postpartum due to extreme edema issues. She’s a good doctor but lack some bedside care.

I've been getting my Medicare Well-Woman checks through my PCP for a few years, but I really missed my OG/Gyn, Sally Grogono. She is so nice, VERY gentle, and wonderful just to speak to. She dots her I's and crosses her t's, too - very thorough & efficient. I actually didn't have to wait long, either. I think moving to their new office might have helped that situation.

She was available to attend to us when we had emergencies and needed to see her at short notice. She's friendly and amazing. I will recommend her to family and friends.

My first visit with Dr Grogono was a sad one for me as she detected my miscarriage. However, I was so appreciative of her straightforward approach of care. You can ask her anything and she will tell it like it is. For me, that is very important. I look forward to seeing her again in the future.

Dr. Grogono is warm, friendly and has an amazing and approachable bedside manner but is also super knowledgeable, smart, capable and talented. I’ve felt very well taken care of under her care for the past 11 years.

Sally Grogano is the ultimate professional. She is trust inspiring, very knowledgeable, and clearly cares about her patients. She takes the time necessary to answer questions and explain procedures. You never feel rushed or unimportant whether you are there for a regular checkup or a particular problem. She is an excellent doctor and I am pleased to be her patient.
