3 Years of Unnecessary Pain
When I saw Dr. Moss as a 16-year-old, he insisted my severe neck and jaw pain was a normal result of having dental braces. His response was 'We can try an MRI but I don't think we'll find anything', and that was it. He reassured me my pain would go away after my braces came off. It did not. 3 years later, I went to a neurologist who immediately recognized my symptoms as migraines. I began treatment, and a handful of months later, my disabling migraines went from daily to once-a-month. A neurosurgeon absolutely should have recognized my symptoms, and his dismissal of a child's pain is inexcusable. My migraines were incredibly painful and debilitating, and left me housebound most days. If Dr. Moss had actually listened to my symptoms and investigated further, I could have been spared 3 years of intense, disabling pain as a child. If I were you, I wouldn't trust my child's diagnosis to this man, let alone surgery.

At the time 11 …41 today and I still remember him
Dr. Moss was a great surgeon. I will never forget having my first brain surgery in 1993. He sat down next to me and explained everything. He was not your typical surgeon, he do not have poor bedside manner and make the other staff do everything. For him. He even French braided my hair after the surgery and talked to us about his 4 daughters. Typical surgeon would have left the OR and left the scrub nurse to do it. I wish there were more Drs and surgeons like this today.
