I have gone to Dr. Weiskoph for a few years and have never found him very approachable and even condescending. I had been told that unless you have something surgical (mine is Meniere's disease) he is a waste of time but since there are limited choices for my condition I stayed with him. This time I had some new concerns to discuss but found he was worse than usual. He actually made me feel stupid for my concerns/questions. My visit was a total waste of my time and money. There is no way I would return to him ever again even if I was having major issues.

Very professional. He has a direct manner of communication which I really like. He tells the truth which is getting to be a rare quality in physicians these days who avoid factual discussions. Honesty and giving accurate expectations are what is necessary even if the reality is not what we are hoping for. His style is refreshing and one that is very helpful and honest. My surgery (insertion of a cochlear implant) went well with no complications. His staff is amazing. He or his staff answered messages via the Mayo Clinic portal quickly. I am a very satisfied patient. I highly recommend Dr. Weisskopf.

My son has had ear problems since birth. He has had 3 invasive ear surgeries over the last 5 or so years. The first one was done by Dr. Weisskopf and everything went perfectly. His second was done by his primary E.N.T. and it was not even close to as smooth as his first. Due to complications, I searched for Dr. Weisskopf as he had joined Mayo to re-perform the second surgery. And once again, it was smooth and almost pain free. Best of the best, no question!

Sent here by my ENT doctor for an ear problem. Needed surgery and was told he was great. We had a long talk about my choices, but surgery was the only way to fix my ear cyst. He is at the Mayo Clinic which was great. He did a great job and surgery was easy. Dr W did a good job explaining everything and so I knew what to expect.

He operated on my ear anddid a good job. I had some reports from other doctors and I read some of the reviews here saying he didn't look at them. He didn't look at mine either so I asked him. He reads them all on his computer before he even saw me! I like him and he has a lot of experience and Mayo clinic is a great place.

I had a ear problem for many years, and saw 3 other doctors without relief. Dr W knew right away what was wrong, and explained everything including what I could do about it. He gave me choices , and told me what he could fix and what he couldn't fix. I think some of these people are mad cause they have a problem that isn't fixable! He did an operation, and everything is getting better. Great job! And he is at the Mayo Clinic now.

Saw Dr. Weisskopf after waiting 2 months. Old Dr. was retiring and Weisskopf was taking his place. Very unhappy. The doctor did not listen, seem to care or even think about what my main symptoms and concerns were. All he wanted to do was treat me for issues which were not the biggest problem and insist his treatment was the best even though other doctors and hospitals stated clearly this was a destructive and permanent treatment method. I have an appointment at another major clinic. Sorry Mayo.

I had the same experience with Dr. Weisskopf. He has a terrible bedside manner. He was rude, dismissive, kept interrupting me when I tried to talk. He did not seem interested in knowing about my symptoms and hardly looked at the other paperwork that I brought in for him to look at including a journal of what my symptoms have been over three months. Seemed he didn't want to give me the time a day and was eager to move on to his next patient. I would not recommend him. Left frustrated.

One of the worst doctors I've ever seen. Completely dismissive and rude, didn't even look at my scans or prior history and made comments that I don't have a certain disease based on facts he hadn't even taken the time to review and doctors notes confirming these.

Dr. Weisskopf was flat out rude, not only did he not listen but he would not let you speak. He wasted my time, which is as valuable as his. He did not even look at records he required by faxed. Another waste of my time. I would not send my worst enemy to this doctor. Bad attitude. He thinks he is special. He might be a good doctor but his patients will never know because he was so rude.
