I had a very positive experience with Dr. Rahangdale in receiving a paravertebral nerve block under his direction and close supervision. I called him "Dr. Painless" at the time. He is an expert in his field and a very pleasant and compassionate physician. Under the expertly applied nerve block and further local anesthetic, I was able to undergo surgery without any IV sedation whatsoever. Further, I experienced NO post-surgical pain and took NO pain meds at all after surgery.

There is inadequate space to relay what transpired. I was to have a supraclavicular nerve block preop. There was a resident extolling her extreme fatigue, a brand new resident being trained, and this attending who said nothing to me but his name and to turn my head to the right. Because of what subsequently transpired, for me it was a terrifying experience. The lack of communication and engagement with the patient was stunning.
