Excellent & Caring
Dr. Watkins is my primary dr., and also took care of my very picky parents before each passed. I have the highest regard for him: he is caring and compassionate, he asks questions, he listens and responds to questions simply and directly, he gives context to all his directions and opinions, and he never hesitates to recommend and refer to a specialist as requested or needed. It took me several years to find a primary physician I trusted and liked in the Williamsburg area, and having found Dr. Watkins, I would never think of leaving his practice!

Best doctor I’ve had
He suspected I had metastasized lung cancer when I went to see him about a different problem. One X-ray confirmed his suspicions. Even though it was in December with holidays, he got me into a neurosurgeon, pulmonologist and oncologist quickly. He found me excellent physicians regardless of their hospital/practice affiliations.

He is a problem solver! Instead of just over medicating , he finds the source. He has done that with me several times.

Dr. Watkins is very complacent and has no compassion for his patients. He spends just a few seconds even though there are a multitude of health issues. My mother was being treated by an urgent care for a sinus infection and bronchitis. She was in Dr. Watkin's office for a yearly physical and began coughing. The nurse never asked her why she was coughing, but escorted her out of the office. They told her she could not be seen with the cough. I understand the concerns with COVID-19, but that is unacceptable. Not once did they ask her why she was coughing. If they were that concerned, why not offer to test her for COVID?

I like Dr. Watkins very much. He is very competent, friendly, and extremely good. I found out about him by asking the nurses in the E.R. who they would recommend. His name was mentioned by several of them.

Dr. Watkins listens to complaints and refers when necessary to a specialist. He is always courteous and caring. The staff are always friendly and prompt with requests when calling the office. They all express caring and concern for my health. I have been a patient for over 10 years.

This doctor was arrogant and controlling. He would not send my records to another doctor when requested and his staff ignored my request with no feedback
