Dr. Roderick O'Brien, MD

I have seen several doctors. Dr. Obrien was different because he didn’t automatically try to prescribe more medications. I was able to reduce my meds and we added other treatment options to help me get much better. Now I don’t have the side effects like before and I feel a lot better. I also feel like he listens more than my other doctors and really values my input.

Dr.O'Brien has helped me more than any psychiatrist I have seen over the past 5 years. He has always been kind during our sessions but one session, I was not in a good place mentally and was truly having a breakdown. He stayed on zoom with me for over an hour discussing my issues and approving a treatment that significantly helped my pain and depression. I still struggle with my depression due to a debilitating disease impacting my mood, he is very compassionate and actively changing my treatment plan to improve my quality of life. I highly recommend Dr. O'Brien!!

I was very impressed with my experience with Dr. Obrian. His office scheduled me in right away. Other practices told me the wait time was several months at least. He took his time listening to everything I had questions about and concerns. There were a lot of test results form my other doctors that he went over and explained to me even some of the labs that my other doctors didn’t necessarily know much about. I have a rheumatological condition in addition to my bipolar disorder and he was familiar with my autoimmune medications. He was very careful to check for interactions with my meds before we changed any new medications. Overall this practice really exceded my expectations and I hope Dr. Obrian is around for a long time. I highly recommend him and the staff who works for him if you have a complicated medical condition.

We were very happy with the service we received. The support staff were very professional and kind. The doctor was extremely helpful. He took extra time to answer our questions about medications and side effects. Our son is doing much better today than he was just a year ago. We had almost forgotten what it was like to have him feel and act normal.

I felt like they cared for me very well. I am planning on recommending this doctor to others in the future.

Horrific

Horrid doctor. Gave me medication that had a side effect of increased anxiety, which gave me panic attacks. Refused to give me, an insomniac, medication to sleep for a week. Not even benadryl. So I didn't sleep - for a WEEK. Horrible person. Forced medications on me that I refused that gave me awful side effects. Avoid Centennial Peaks because you might get him as a doctor. NOT worth it.

This doctor may have been the most cold-hearted, uncooperative, and unhelpful psychiatrist I've dealt with in over 10 years. If it hadnt been for my legal team getting the court to order my release, I might not be here today. Seriously a horror show... didn't give one thought about how my or many others PTSD would be triggerd by his actions. Some doctors are just in it for the money unfortunately. I've seen them before, but this man has taken the cake.
