Dr Mandel is great!
Dr Mandel is friendly and has a great bedside manner. I totally trust this doctor. He has helped me tremendously with the ECT therapy. His staff is great too. Very professional but friendly. I am thankful for his help.

Absolutely incompetent doctor. Manages medications poorly. He lied and made things up in my medical records after he was faced with criticism (which I can prove). He also accused me of seeking attention because I struggle with self harm. He cannot handle criticism. He is an insensitive narcissist who shows no compassion.

My visit with Dr Mandal was the worst medical experience in my life. He was rude. He taunted me that I had not figured out yet what was wrong. He bullied me. Finally telling me that he did not like to treat psychological issues. A bizarre statement for a psychiatrist to make.

I have had ECT at a couple of other facilities; none can compare to my experience with Dr. Mandel and his staff. Everyone from the front desk to the PACU nurses and anesthesiologist were so empathetic and truly cared about my well being. Dr. Mandal took time to listen to my concerns and explain the plan. I feel so blessed to have such a great team to work with as I navigate my mental health/ECT needs.

Konoy has great bedside manner, is well informed, and is probably a pretty good psychiatrist. However, I recieved ECT treatments for 3.5 years BEFORE he admitted the beneficial effects of the treatments had "probably plateaued" - - but how long ago? How long had he kept me coming back so he could bill my insurance for months and months AFTER I had expressed that I didn't feel ECT was making a difference in my depression symptoms. A year ago, I finally told him I wanted to move to an "as needed" schedule after 30 MONTHS of 1x/per month treatments *(the average course of ECT treatments is 6-12 months; mine was at 40 months). I left phone messages with the ECT staff to discuss this change, he never replied. The ECT staff gave me an email address to try to communicate with him that way, he never replied. i sent 3-5 text messages in oct-nov of 2019, he never replied. I guess it was on to the next vulnerable mentally ill sucker he could bill insurance for. Shame on you Konoy. Shame.

I was treated at Centennial Peaks and ECT was suggested to me. I was not provided adequate informed consent, and I've experienced severe memory impairment and cognitive dysfunction since undergoing treatment. Dr. Mandal will not answer my questions, I had excellent memory before this treatment and now I am severely impaired. It has destroyed my life.

He is not only the best doctor I have ever met, but one of the best people as well. He always greets me with a smile and is incredibly warm and compassionate. He genuinely cares about each of his patients and always has our best interests in mind. I trust him completely both as a doctor and as a friend.

I've been struggling to find a good Dr. for my primary diagnosis of Bi-Polar Disorder I and secondary diagnoses of BPD, PTSD, Anxiety, and Depression for the last 12 years. I started doing ECT 3 months ago with Dr. Mandal and it has changed my life, maybe even saved it in the long run. If you want to get better, and have the drive to do the necessary work on your end, he is the Dr. that can help you!! Dr. Mandal is the one Dr. I've had that expects results just as much as his patients! YOU ROCK!
