awful practice - want you to come all the time
Stay as far away from this office as you can unless you want them to abuse your insurance company and medicare with excessive billing, as they want you to come in the office every 3 months in order to renew your medication. Unheard of! My mother is 85 yrs old, doesn't drive and each time her meds run out or expire they want her to come back in the office for no reason. She used to always go to her other dr once a year for her annual and only had to go back in the office if she wasnt feeling well. Her blood work doesn't reflect anything for the meds she even needs filled as that issue is addressed by her Endo. Its sad because Dr Hussain is a good Dr, but the practice of the office is ridiculous. I will be looking for a new Dr for my mother immediately.

Dr Dacosta is wonderful. I’ve heard that she has moved to her own practice in Ronkonkoma. She has been very attentive as our family doctor.

Office visit on Tuesday, July 7, 2020. Blood was drawn for COVID-19 antibodies test at Ronkonkoma office. I telephoned July 14 and Patti told me the results were not in yet. Saturday, July 18, I telephoned and spoke with Doreen, she said she would leave a message with Dr. DaCosta. Telephoned Monday, July 20, and spoke with nurse Michelle at Commack office; she was going to look into it. Michelle called back said she was investigating; Quest and Lab Corp didn’t have the blood.. Later on V.J., who was directed by Michelle to call, advised they checked Sunrise & Northwell labs. They CAN’T FIND my blood. This is not the first problem with this office. Several times I requested that Dr. DaCosta call. Either she is not getting the messages or doesn’t want to talk to me. BEWARE of you blood work results (if you get them) from this doctor. Will it be your blood??? Still waiting for DaCosta to call. Will advise Medicare. This is definitely Medical Malpractice.

This review is directed at the office staff. My wife, Margaret is a patient of Dr. DaCosta for many years. For the past 3 years my wife calls the Ronkonkoma office for information or request for scripts/prescriptions and it's like she never called. Either the office staff is lying, incompetent, or just doesn't care. Latest experience. April 24 my wife calls Dr. DaCosta's office, talks to Jan and requests a script for blood work - Jan says she will advise Dr. DaCosta. Script not received so on May 1, my wife calls, speaks with Lynn. Lynn says script was mailed on April 28th. On May 5, my wife calls, speaks with Patti and tells her the script was not received. Patti tells my wife it was "faxed" to LIJ labs. We call LIJ labs and they did not receive any fax from Dr. DaCosta's office. I call Dr. DaCosta's office, speak with Tang, explain incompetence of office. Tang apologizes for office staff and says she will mail script. We received script 2 days later. Thank you, TANG!

Dr. Dacosta is great, however was made to wait an hour before actually seeing her. Port Jeff office is fairly clean and staff is nice. Ronkonkoma office staff seems as if they couldn't be bothered and the bathroom is way creepy due to a urine receptacle box that literally allows you to see directly into the office. No privacy and a bit dirty.

She always listens to me. She takes the time to examine me. She diagnosis wonderfully and treats her patients with respect. I have had severe medical problems and have tried many doctors. I have ended up in the hospital in the past because of other doctors not taking the time to really examine me. Dr DaCosta is the first doctor to have the patience to examine me and address all my medical issues. I have recommended her to all my family.
