Dr. Robert Viere, MD

I employed Dr. Viere back in 2013 and 2014 for two different spinal procedures. L4 and L5 disks were removed and a titanium cage and faux disks were put in. It's 2022 and I'm playing tennis 3 days a week. Besides that, he's just a nice surgeon which is sometimes hard to find. Most have a god complex or are just unpleasant individuals. Dr. Viere never rushed me and never tried to convince me to have the procedures done that I had done. He's a great spine doc and an overall good guy.

Dr Viere has been my Back Guy for many years now. When something wears out, he will fix it. Dr Viere has repaired my vertebrae from L4 down. He has repaired all the disc my neck. He is amazing, and YES he is the best Dr in the world. If u are looking for someone who is concerned about you & your quality of life, then Dr Viere is the man! Tks Dr Viere for giving me my life back!!

Dr. Viere performed back surgery on me in March of 2020. He believed me right from the start when I told him I strongly believed I was allergic to the stainless steel hardware in my back that had been placed there 16 years prior by another surgeon to correct scoliosis. He removed all of it and my recovery was smooth. He answered my loooong list of questions and was in no hurry to leave. My itchy spots have gone away that I suffered with for 16 years due to the metal allergy from the hardware. I think of him daily and feel so grateful to have found him. My life is MAJORLY improved. I was not having back pain before my surgery (it was just the metal allergy making me itch) but I also have no back pain after the surgery. I was so scared to move forward with another back surgery but Dr. Viere was confident yet humble, caring and patient. He has been a true blessing in my life and I couldn't be happier with the process and outcome. Thank you, Dr. Viere. You're one of the good ones.

He is the best complex reconstructive spinal surgeon

I had a motorcycle wreck in 2005 and I broke my back (L3), cracked my left shoulder, and broke my right ankle. I was airlifted to Baylor where Dr Viere preformed back surgery on L3. I had a compression fracture. L3 was split like a V! I was blessed it didn’t cut my spinal cord. He fused me from L2 to L4 removed 2 disk that were in between. He put a titanium cylinder with holes all around the shaft and placed the bones in it and it fused together. I was 25 and now I’m 40 and I have no pain and no problems. I haven’t had to see a doctor for my back since I recovered. He is by far the best dr in the world! I have nerve damage in my left leg. My left calf muscle never came back but I can run walk and everything except stand on my tippy toes with my left leg. When I was 30 I had a beautiful baby girl and had absolutely no problems. Yes I am a female lol. If you want the best doctor in the world then DR VIERE is that doctor. Thank you Dr Viere.

I've known Dr Viere for 16years and he is a skilled surgeon and also a kind and compassionate man. He listens and explains everything to his patients and I find that invaluable. After a whiplash injury i went to him to be evaluated and he explained my options. He did a cervicle fusion and I have been pain free ever since. This was 14 yrs ago and I am so grateful that I chose him for my doctor.

Dr Viere has been my doctor for about 20 years. He worked with me knowing I didn't want to have surgery. Once it was time, he showed compassion, knowing it was a hard decision for me. Now I am pretty much pain free, thanks to him. He is very talented and cares about his patients. I cannot think of one negative thing about him. He is a wonderful person.

All these years later, rear ended again, I was very relieved to discover he was still taking new patients. He has an easy going, thoughtful demeanor. Nearly 8 mos ago, my husband, who was suffering greatly and on major pain meds, underwent a 12 1/2 hour surgery by Dr. Viere. The outcome was incredible - he is now 4 inches taller than before surgery and on NO pain meds! It is truly an answer to prayers! We credit Dr. Viere with the patience and skill to correct his back problems! We will continue to highly recommend Dr. Viere to anyone suffering from back pain!

I went to see Dr. Viere because I had a previous back surgery that did not work and I was in major pain. He took some xrays and told me with a confidence that I have never heard before...."I can fix that." And he did!!! 12 1/2 hours worth of surgery and I came out of it 4 inches taller and ZERO pain. I hate to overuse the word miracle, but that is what he did for me. Always took as much time as I needed to answer all of my questions. A quiet humility was always his demeaner.

I went to Dr. Viere after having three years of pain in my back and down my right leg. I had been to a pain specialist for injections for two years, with little relief. My surgery was three years ago. The surgery he performed for me has taken away all my pain and I am functioning better than I have in many years. He was caring and supportive and I highly recommend him to anyone.

He damaged my spinal chord in back surgery and I am disabled and will limp for the rest of my life. He runs an assembly line for surgery, and treats you like a number. Letting Dr. Viere operate on me changed my life--for the worse. I wouldn't wish Dr. Viere for anyone.

After being told repeatedly for over a year by a Southlake specialist that nothing could be done for my back pain post-laminectomy, I finally went to Dr. Viere . On my first visit with Dr. Viere I cried when he looked at the same MRI the specialist had used and told me five reasons why my back pain was justified and how he could improve my quality of life. After over 2 years of messing around with other doctors (supposedly some of the best in Dallas), In finally was referred to Dr. Viere by another physician. My first appt. was made in a timely manner,,the front office staff is genuine and courteous, his nursing staff is the best, and his PA is great! At each visit, both pre and post surgery, I saw Dr. Viere. I can only say that this is the Best experience that I have ever had with a medical specialist.
