Dr. Starr is a terrific eye specialist! I came to him for new lenses for my glasses after cataract surgery. He was very gentle examining my eyes. He made very precise markings on my old lenses so that the new lenses would be exact. The cost was affordable for me, retired on a teachers pension. He is kind, personable (has a very good sense of humor) and very professional. Also, his receptionist could not be nicer! I highly recommend Dr. Starr!!

Dr. Robert Starr is the best eye doctor! I work in a wood shop and I had blurry vision, pain, redness, light sensitivity, and swelling in both eyes. I went to the emergency room at Huntington Beach Hospital and thank goodness they referred me to Dr. Starr. After the most thorough examination of my life, Dr. Starr diagnosed and treated my eyes. Dr. Robert Starr is the best ophthalmologist and he saved my eye! I was grinding metal at work this morning and a piece hit me in my left eye. I was in agony, my eye was red, and I could not see. A friend referred me to Dr. Starr and he helped me call his office. Dr. Starr came on the phone himself and told me to come right in. I have never heard of a doctor who would do this. What an amazing doctor! Dr. Starr removed a piece of metal from my eye and now I can see! I am going to send all of my friends and my family to Dr. Starr and am forever grateful to him.

Dr. Starr did my LASIK surgery over 15 yrs ago and I continue to have 20/15. My family and I have been going to him since then. He's very respectful, listens to your issues, and takes his time with you. He's very thorough with his exam and always treats you like VIP. When my son was in the police academy and scratched his cornea and had pepper sprayed in his eyes, Dr. Starr treated him everyday (even on the weekend) and saved his vision! As a nurse, I feel safe knowing my eyes and my families eyes are in great hands.

Recently, after hours I noted an acute concern that proved to be non-serious, though the differential diagnosis might also include a more serious problem. Dr. Starr returned my call left on the answering service that night and opened his office the next morning on his day off. We have had the BEST experience with Dr. Starr, his staff and his office. He is the most caring doctor I have ever dealt with. We took my 87 year old mother to see him to see if she is eligible for cataract surgery, but instead of putting her under the knife and taking in the money, he genuinely looked at all the risks and benefits. Since I don't live in the same State as my mother, and she doesn't speak English very well, Dr. Starr took extra time to speak with me on the phone during her visit and also during a follow up call. He truly took care of my mother as he would his own mother. His sound advice, professionalism and care was astounding! I had taken my mother to another eye doctor but we were so displeased with their hands off that I searched for Mr. Starr. Very lucky to have found him. Highly recommend Doctor Starr.
