Dr. Robert Schamberger, DO

In the 25 plus years I have been a patient Dr Schamberger has been exemplary in my patient care.He listens to my health concerns then addresses them in a caring,professional and thorough way.His knowledge is remarkable and I trust him completely.Together with his nurse Kathy they are an extremely efficient, caring and professional team that truly careI about their patients and I hope they never retire.

I've never met Dr. Schamberger because his office staff sucks. The automated answering machine does only one thing: tells you they have a high call volume and asks you to leave a message. I called them 4 times to make an appointment before finally receiving a callback. When somebody finally called me, they asked if my son was a patient. I said that this doctor was on his insurance card. They said "Okay, no, you have to submit paperwork from the insurance company then wait 48 hours to hear back from us to see if he's covered." I hung up and called my insurance company to get my son's PCP switched to another doctor who had a live person answer the phone and made me an appointment immediately. I expect to get hold times and occasionally have to wait for a callback, but I've never had to call four times before getting a callback and I've never been told to submit insurance paperwork and wait 48 hours for an in-network provider.

Dr. Schamberger is one of the most knowledgeable and caring doctors I have ever seen. He went above and beyond to help me - not only in diagnosing and treating me but also in taking the time to explain things so that I understand them. I kind of expected that after 37 years of practice he would speed through the appointment but he never has. He keeps up-to-date on the latest research and treatments and his mind is so sharp - it's incredible. I've seen so many doctors in my life but I recommend Dr. Schamberger to everyone. He's also willing to explore non-traditional treatments but doesn't push anything onto his patients. It's rare to find a doctor so humble, non-judgmental, and caring. Thanks Dr. Schamberger - I hope you never retire.

I really don't understand why this ? is still allowed to practice . He over prescribes and when there is a problem he abandons the patient.
