Poor Business Practices and Rude Staff
We recently visited this practice and are horrified at the rude, disrespectful staff and poor business practices. On my husband’s follow up visit after a small procedure, the office person said he could not see the doctor without paying the outstanding balance from his last visit. But the last visit was still processing through insurance and he had not received a bill to compare to the insurance EOB. Who would pay a bill they had not received? And he was DENIED CARE in the office and he had to leave. Do not go here it’s disgraceful, uncaring and possibly not legal. We did receive the bill the following week and I have paid it in full and we will not be going back.

Ultimate in arrogance
I’m 73. Been to dozens of Doctors in my lifetime. No one, not one Dr. could be more arrogant, condescending, narcissistic, rude, despicable, pugnacious, and unprofessional than Dr. Robert Rogers, Mills Ave in Greenville. He started telling me how to manage my finances telling me to get rid of my cell phone to save money, and then began to tell me how to treat my diabetes. Dr. Rogers is neither a certified financial planner nor is he licensed as an endocrinologist. Like many on this forum, I thought it was just me. But on this, my fourth appointment, I had heard enough. The ultimate in arrogance was he said he would not charge me for this visit. He really thought I would pay him for being rude and insulting? This guy is a real piece of work. Read all of the posts here before booking an appointment.

Rude, crude & socially unacceptable.
I’m not seeing my original review, so I’ll try again. While waiting in the patient room, I got a nail clipper to clip an annoying cuticle. And then he came in. Seeing the nail clipper, he started yelling at me calling what I was doing disgusting & rude & I should never do it again!!! ( Note: I’m 74 yrs old.). I was humiliated because I knew that his staff heard him, because I heard them laughing & cutting up while I was waiting. I will never go back there again. I was so shocked to be addressed that way, I was brought to tears. Awful.

Left in tears- never had a doctor of any specialty be so condescending and rude. The staff however, is very nice and efficient.

Never
Terrible. He was very rude, didn’t even check me for my history of malignant melanoma. He stuck his head in the door and told me I was wasting his time! I was so shocked that I couldn’t even move. I stayed in room crying until a nurse came in and helped me out. I used to see his father, who was totally opposite. His father was kind and helpful. Don’t know how he could raise such an arrogant son (doctor) . I would never go back and would never recommend to anyone! It was the worst experience of my life!

Initially, I believed that Dr. R. would solve my skin issue; he looked me in the eye and said he would. My follow up visits were with his NP, and over the next four months, my condition progressively got worse, covering nearly my whole body. It went from an inconvenience to crippling. The itching was incessant, I was sleeping 4 hours a night, and was treated for cellulitis twice and was hospitalized once. I finally cancelled my appt with the NP and insisted on seeing Dr. R. He didn’t even look at my skin or the recent photos from the ER. Instead, he was incredulous that I was interested in what was causing my “atopic eczema.” I was told he’s “been doing this a long time,” and that I was “delusional,” and eventually, “There’s nothing I can do for you.” It’s clear that Dr. R lacks the curiosity and empathy for someone who didn’t want long term treatment, but wanted to be cured. No sense of urgency. His last words to me: “We’ll see you in 8 weeks.” Pfft. I’m not the delusional one.

Myself and other family members have been treated by Dr. Robert Rogers on Mills Avenue in Greenville, SC over the past several years and we've all been impressed by his professionalism, kindness, expert knowledge and the experience as a whole. Dr. Robert Rogers takes time to answer any questions and goes out of his way to connect with his patients, communicating care and concern for the medical issue at hand, as well as for the well being of the patient. I highly recommend him to anyone looking for a well seasoned dermatologist.

Evidently there are 2 Dr Rogers being reviewed here. I did not like Dr. Robert Rogers, the son. Arrogant, BIG ego, and gives you that stare like "who are you to ask me a question like that". NO bedside manner at all.

I am in tears. Given my referral, I was so hopeful for a positive experience. When I asked the question regarding scaring for a biopsy on my already balding scalp, I got a long, blank stare and head tilt. I had to ask why. I thought he was going to respond w/a joke. Instead, he challenged my respect and reprimanded me. He also so hastily misinterpreted my summary of prior experience, I couldn't explain to get us back on track. To defuse the situation, I explained why I was concerned about scarring, got as much information as I could (so it wasn't a waste of time), let him leave, and waited while his kind nurse managed the prescription and scheduling. But after hearing he told my husband, in the other room, that he should help me with the "process," I called and canceled. He may be medically competent. But he's conceited, a bit mean, and perhaps thinks if you have gray hair, you should not be concerned about scarring. Choose your doctors carefully. It's your health.

I've seen many dermatologists in my lifetime and Dr. Rogers is my favorite by far. From my first visit he listened and came up with a course to tackle a skin disorder that had plagued me for years. He's has an awesome personality. His staff are always friendly and super helpful. Would recommend to all.

Why aer you letting unlicensed people take the biopsy. Saw Misty for two minutes and thought the medical assistant was going to set up for the biopsy and she ended up doing this.. no medical professional was in the room.. apparently didnt suture correctly as when i woke up the next morning I had 3 large areas of blood on my night shirt.

I returned in July 2019 for a check on my thumb which was giving me pain after a cyst was removed in March. I was told there would be a small scar but when I told him how disappointed I was in this long, ugly scar he told me "What did I expect? I told him not this big scar and the constant pain. Plus, when scar was removed, he allowed an assistant to stitch me up. Maybe this is why the ugly scar? I told him I get many compliments about my hands which people think are attractive. Now, I try to tuck my thumb under my fingers in public. I was told to use Fluticasone Propionate twice a day for pain. I am just disgusted. Thumb feels like a nerve was touched making it sensitive.

We love Dr. Rogers! Daughter was referred by a clinic and we got in the next day - unlike our previous derm, where we routinely waited 4-6 months to get an appt. Dr. Rogers spent plenty of time with her at each visit, answering her questions, and took a very targeted approach to treating her condition. We liked him so much that I switched from our old derm as well. I find him friendly and approachable, and his staff is great whether you are in office or calling with questions for a nurse.

This is hysterical...if only I had done a little research...I could have prevented a wasted afternoon in the office of this 42 year old child. I do echo the sentiments of the other one star reviews. This is an unprofessional, childlike egomaniac. His narcissistic (NPD) approach to the people that surround him is repulsive, not only his patients, but the administrative and medical staff seem embarrassed by his comments and gestures. Look a little deeper before choosing this dermatologist.

Interesting and informative reviews....I wish I had visited this site before scheduling an appointment with this arrogant little parasite. He disguises himself as a professional. However, what you'll discover is a childlike narcissist...not a professional. With an office filled with very attractive administrative and medical support staff who seem to turn their head in embarrassment from every disrespectful comment or gesture he makes. Dad always said be suspicious of a man sporting a bow tie!

Terrible....just terrible. I had to see the nurse practitioner, and she had the personality of a brick. The visit was less than 5 minutes, she never looked at what I came there for (just advised that I needed to try a cream on my arm to see if that would help) and then told me she would see me in 4 weeks to do the "once over"! Are you kidding me?? I then had to pay my $40 copay for really absolutely nothing. I couldn't believe it! I won't go back.
