No compassion
This man does not listen to his patients & does what he wants. I was referred to him by another provider for further evaluation including & MRI & he denied all of what the other provider was attempting to have done. My first visit with him lasted 10minutes exactly. He spent no time with me at all & just told me to monitor my injury. He told me it will just take time. I had a f/u visit with him & during that visit I informed him that my family doctor had ordered & MRI & what it had read, although he looked it up himself to see the results. This man tells me that I do not have any nerve entrapment which exactly what’s on the MRI results. He says that I just have a resolving hematoma which it did read that. So I told him I was uncomfortable going back to work full duty due to very noticeable swelling & pain. He said well that’s not a reason to stay on restrictions & released me back to full duty. I do not recommend him at all!!!!

He made me feel small, unheard, and uncared for. It was like he was more interested in getting the job done than done well. I had such high hopes for finding an answer to why I was in pain today and all I got was a set back.

Had outpatient shoulder replacement surgery done with no complications in February 2021. Followed instructions from Dr. Ottaviani and Physical Therapist--everything was great--no more nagging pain and limited mobility in right shoulder. Back to driving and other activities within eight weeks--not twelve.

Dr. Ottaviani performed a surgery to place a rod in my mother’s broken femur. The rod he installed not only was faulty, he completely missed that her hip was fractured. For several months, my mother would return in agonizing pain. She was treated as if she were a drug addict trying to get pills. She spent many nights crying that no one believed she had pain in her groin. She even requested X-rays, that he refused, saying things were healing nicely. Instead he gave her a shot and sent her home. Eventually, it was discovered there was reason for pain in her hip: a missed hip fracture, that he missed. His instructions for her to walk on it caused it to escalate, resulting in multiple surgeries and complications that lasted for years, and eventually resulted in her death. Two surgeons attempted to clean up how mess, and both were amazing. She did have complications from their surgeries. The difference was the compassion and accountability. Dr. Ottaviani had none.
