Dr. Robert Meuret, MD

Dr Meuret is the absolute best Orthopedic Surgeon I have ever encountered in my life. FULL STOP!!! Period!!! I would go further and say that he is one of the top three doctors of any specialty that I have ever encountered and I have had more occasions than most people to seek medical care. Dr Meuret has a unique perspective as a former Physical Therapist. I suspect he got tired of fixing problems on the back end when he knew as a PT that maybe there was a better way for total healing. I'm a retired US Army Officer, Vietnam and Desert Storm veteran, age 71, who has had 4 major back operations, 2 knee operations, 1 foot operation, 1 hand operation, a nose operation, a frozen shoulder and broken toes, paralyzed back nerve, winged scapula, as well as innumerable strains and sprains and chronic pain. My personal experience with Dr Meuret is with a fractured wrist and arm ("Acute comminuted impacted intra-articular distal radius fracture, with radio-carpal and distal radio-ulnar joint fracture extension. Acute ulnar styloid process fracture. FRYKMAN 8") as a result of a hard fall while race walking on 24 Mar 2023 and had a hard, elbow-immobilizing splint applied at the ER. I had surgery 28 Mar 2023 and was put in a short, removable brace. During followup on 13 April 2023, I was allowed to use the brace only for strenuous activity. I am not completely through this journey but I absolutely know where I'll go if I need care again!

My husband received surgery from Dr. Meuret July 2020 for a broken fibula. This repair required hardware. My husband had a wound that would not heal, after following up with Dr. Meuret he was advised that it was an internal stitch which he had to come into the office and have removed. The wound still would not close. About a month goes by another "stitch" was able to be seen in the opening. Dr. Meuret's office then removed that one. By November a wound that started out 1cm had increased in size and showed early signs of infection. My husband reached out yet again to Dr. Meuret, at this time he is now passed the 90 days of care that is approved by the insurance and Dr. Meuret's office does not take my husbands insurance. He required my husband to pay $1000 to come in, when my husband told him we did not have those funds he suggested my husband go to the E.R. Dr. Meuret is all about the money, he does not care about your aftercare. Now my husband has a 4 inch wound still on his leg.

I ended up in the E/R in great pain after a fall when my dog knocked me off my feet, landing on my shoulder. Dr. Meuret, surgically repaired my 4 part proximal humerus comminuted fracture. He thoroughly explained everything to me, including what to expect with the healing process in my particular situation. Dr. Meuret's precision surgical expertise was evident immediately. After surgery, the throbbing pain from the break was gone - for good! I have minimal and clean surgical scarring. My shoulder is perfectly aligned. Dr. Meuret was thorough in his communications with me, and I’ve had no surprises during my follow-ups and therapy progress. I think Dr. Meuret’s pre-surgical experience in physical therapy also helps him to relate with patients. Yes, I would highly recommend Dr. Meuret and am thankful he was my orthopedic trauma surgeon.

had hip replacement surgery,Dr Meuret did a wondeful job no screws cement etc.I do had a good looking scar.Im hoping my new insurance covers him to do the other side.I would definitly recommend him!

I am from NY and was visiting Disney when I fell and broke and dislocated my right upper arm in 3 places. Luckily for me I wound up in Florida Hospital South in Orlando and Dr Meuret did my emergency surgery , a plate and 9 screws. When I returned home my Orthopedic Surgeon was amazed at what a fantastic job Dr Meuret did. I would definitely recommend Dr Meuret.

Fortumate Dr. Meuret was in ER Nov. 2016. Compassionate, expertise immediately apparant. He diagnosed shoulder break and how repair would be made. Operaion success however his concern of screw becoming disengaged happened a couple of months later. It was removed by him as outpatient surgery and therapy resumed. Later the ball in that shoulder joint died due to the trauma and Dr. Meuret performed reverse shoulder replacement successfully alleviating the pain. Yes great confidence in him.

I fell and broke my shoulder in five places. Dr Meuret put it back together, I have screws in the ball and a rod in the upper shoulder. I can put my arm up over my head, A positive thing about him is that he was a physical therapist before becoming a doctor. Made him twice as good!

I am trying again to get the comment entered. Dr. Meuret is meticulous in his surgical procedures. I was amazed he did wrist & knee surgery at the same time , both with minimal scarring. Dr. Meuret is efficient, kind, caring and has a good sense of humor. I would recommend him to everyone!

I would not use Dr Meuret. He did a horrible job with my hand placing a plate and four screws! My 5th metacarpal is now deformed and I'm experiencing chronic pain. Please get medical advice elsewhere!

I had the misfortune of needing an orthopedic trauma surgeon, but i was so fortunate that Dr Meuret was on call at the time. He performed a virtual miracle on my injured hand. I can recommend Dr Meuret without reservation. He is a great surgeon and has a down to earth demeanor.
