Was not a good experience. I felt like I was a bother to him. I had missed done and not once did he look at them while I was on the room to explain them. Just did a few motor tests and said there's nothing wrong with my back even though the the reports are 2 pages long.

Dr. Michael Barnum
Excellent - Words can never express my gratitude to Dr. Barnum and his nurse, Sonia, for coming to my aid when I was in excruciating back pain. A call to Sonia explaining the situation resulted in an appointment the next morning. Dr. Barnum hospitalized me immediately and did surgery the next day. I am a month in recovery and if it were not for Dr. Barnum, I could possibly still be in pain waiting for surgery. So grateful for this wonderful doctor! Thank you so much!

DR. Barnum is the best and kindest surgeon I have ever met. I wasn’t even anxious before my surgery. He made me feel at ease and I felt like he was a family member and I’d known him for years....if you need a ortho specialist he is your man. And I would do it again if I had to.

Operated on my back twice, once for a Discectomy,(sp?) and an L5-S1 disc replacement. One of the best doctors I have ever dealt with. This is when he was in Chespeake, Virginia, and I wish he would come back. He did the replacement with a Charite--approximately 15 years ago, and back is starting to bother me again.

I have Dr. Barnum operate on my back and would trust him with my life. He has Operated on my back twice on L1 & L2 for a pinched nerve and did major back surgery L3,L4,L5 & S1 because of my Scoliosis was so bad it was robing on my pelvis. He put rods & screws to try & straighten my spine and he did a great job. He then did surgery on both of my SI Joints. So I am very happy with the work he did on me. You know some people wouldn't be happy with Dr. Barnum or any other doctor.
