My name is Leslie Sullivan and Dr. Hartnett removed my kidney because of a renal carcinoma tumor 30 years ago when I was 35 years old. This is back when surgeons didn't make 3 small Incisions. It was my bellybutton to my back (great scar by the way. One thin line.) Anyway there is NOT ONE SURGEON ANYWHERE WHOSE HANDS YOU SHOULD PLACE YOUR LIFE IN AND HE TRULY CARES ABOUT YOU!! I moved to Florida to be near my 88 yr old mom or I'd still be seeing Dr. Hartnett once a year even though after 5 years he told me I was fine and didn't need to come ANY more. I kept going for 15 years just because that's the kind of man, and surgeon he is. If you need any surgery, save your own life and go to Dr. Hartnett. I had the green laser prostate ablation 2+ years ago. I was told at the time to not expect miracles, which I gave up on long ago with our health system. Last night, I was the fifth consecutive day in which I had more than 8 consecutive hours of sleep. My sleep problems involved more than bladder/prostate but they were key problems prior to surgery. Ibuprofen to reduce irritation helped but caused GI bleeding. I couldn't expect better results unless I were completely unreasonable. I'm 90 BTW.
