Based on his reputation from those I know that are involved in Cataract Surgery he is the doctor to go to. He has great bed side manner, explains everything, and skilled at some of the more complex lenses if you want to restore reading, mid, and distance vision.

Great visit
Had my first visit with Dr Tipperman on Monday the 11th of December, his staff was so friendly and caring, I knew I was at the best place for me. The Dr was very down to earth and spoke to me about my procedure in terms that I understood. He didn’t had me off to someone else. This is a first class operation. They treat you not your folder.

Dr. Tipperman gets results!
I can wholeheartedly recommend Dr. Tipperman for cataract surgery. I had both eyes done but had a rather complicated case in one eye. He took on the challenge, and the result was 20/20 vision. Don’t be afraid! The whole experience is pleasant. I highly recommend the PanOptix tri-focal lens. After 50 years, I am completely free of glasses or contacts. You need to pay a small upcharge for the tri-focal lens but what is more important than crystal clear vision at close, medium and far distances? No more reading glasses! You can read road signs again. And see your computer perfectly You won’t regret it.

Dr. Tipperman was highly recommended. Unfortunately, he is egotistical and his office was geared to move people in and out as fast as possible. I asked questions about the different types of lenses. I felt confident in his suggestion. Dr. T and I decided he'd do my surgery. The next morning, he called me and said he decided not to take me as a patient because I asked questions and he thinks I'd continue to ask questions afterwards. I was devastated! I asked him to reconsider but he refused and then.... he hung up on me!

Dr Tipperman did both of my eyes for cataracts at the beginning of this year. (I was told by another doctor I would most probably go blind) I can see perfectly now! Dr Tippermen had such a calming and caring manner - I am SO happy I found him!! Highly recommend!!!

I had a very complicated cataract form in my right eye after being treated with radiation at the Wills Eye Hospital (the best) for uveal melanoma. The cataract had left me completely blind in my right eye-- with a dead tumor. I am writing this less than 24 hours after my cataract surgery with Dr. Tipperman and my vision is 20/20. It's incredible. I couldn't be more thankful and appreciative of the amazing doctors and Dr. Tipperman has given me my sight back. And no pain whatsoever. Thank you!

Dr Tipperman’s staff is very efficient and knowledgeable. All appointments were on time including surgery at Wills Eye Surgical center. Dr Tipperman is very patient friendly and consultative with his patients. He performed cataract surgery on both eyes and the results are excellent. I’d highly recommend him.

I decided to have cataract surgery and selected Richard Tipperman for the job. The entire process was more difficult than it should have been. The surgical schedule individual was curt and sometimes rude. The full cost of the procedure was ambiguous and I had to work very hard to determine the approximate expense of the procedure. The Surgical Center was like a factory. Numerous people in the waiting room. Reminded me of a milking barn. The nurse and anesthesiologis were quite rude.Difficul

I was highly nearsighted, and developed cataracts several years ago. My ophthalmologist of 35 years said Dr. Tipperman was the only surgeon she would send me to. Dr. Tipperman performed cataract surgery on me in Dec. 2018. Everything worked out great (I now have 20-20 vision!), and my ophthalmologist is very happy with the results. Dr. Tipperman has a great bedside manner -- he is very approachable and took the time to answer all my questions. I feel very lucky to have had him as my surgeon!

Went to Wills Hospital where I was sent to see Dr. Tipperman. I wanted a second opinion on the cataract surgery with multi focal lens implants that I previously had done by another doctor in the Western New York State area. It had been one year after that surgery and I was very unhappy with the results. I can’t say enough about his professionalism and understanding of my problem. I highly recommend Dr. Tipperman!!!!!!!!!

Every physician should mimic this practice. Minimal wait times, caring and professional staff, excellent "bedside manner", gives each patient as much time as they need, and best of all, excellent results! I highly recommend!

Multiple friends, family members and physicians recommended I see Dr. Tipperman when I had complications from my surgery done elsewhere. He took the time to review my whole history, answer my questions and explain what was involved in corrective surgery. I am so happy after my reoperation - he fixed everything that was wrong from the first surgery.

I had seen several eye doctors who could not help me or understand my problem. Dr. Tipperman reviewed all my old records and was able to identify the issue and created a stepwise plan that involved medical treatment and then surgery. I'm glad I found this office through friend's recommendations.

I won’t go into details, but the bottom line based on at least three conversations and office visits, Dr. tipperman inserted the wrong lens for reading, as requested, and failed to use an astigmatic lens. Following surgery his technician gave me the wrong prescription for glasses, the scrip approved and signed by dr. Tipperman.

Was there for a very serious eye problem that before 3 other drs. Messed up my vision. He kept talking and did not give me the time of day for my concerns, just have to live with it was his answer. I said about another dr.s possible solution and he him awed that he could to then changed his mind. I came there for hope and got brushed off! He was also so busy, in and out of the room. Do theses guys go to school and have a course for how to side step a patient's issues with a lot of excuses! ,

Dr. Tipperman far exceeds the title of Dr. with phenomenal skill; he is also the most patient, kind and understanding person you could ever imagine possible. He corrected my very bad situation, which resulted from cataract surgery I'd had 9 months prior performed by my former doctor of 20+ years. An IOL exchange was required to fix it (more risk involved). His remarkable patience dealing with my fear, coupled with incredible talent and expertise, resulted in a very successful outcome for me!

Had cataract surgery yesterday with Dr Tipperman. Piece of cake! The entire procedure took under 10 minutes, the doctor ran exactly on time, and my result was perfect! No pain, no complications, only vibrant colors and relief that it done. Dr Tipperman is the only doctor you should consider using for cataract surgery. My husband used someone else a year ago and had all kinds of Complications. Dr Tipperman is the BEST
