One of the best
Dr.Shlofmitz preformed angiogram and implanted a stent. He was curious, professional and explained procedure and answered all my questions. Prior to visit he called me direct to discuss any concerns I might have. He gives his cell phone and can access him at any time.

The top doc. AKA Heart Fixer.
You feel confident from the moment you meet him. He treats you with kindness and his incredible skills as a physician. From the moment I first saw him cooking on CFN I knew if i needed a cardiologist he was the man. A year later I did. Monsignor Vlaun hooked me up thanks be to God.

Excellent Experience with Dr. Shlofmitz
This past July 2024 I was treated by Dr.Shlofmitz for a cardiac issue. I had an excellent experience at St.Francis Hospital as well as with Dr.Shlofmitz' team of professionals. I went to hospital in the early afternoon, had my stent placed and was able to leave in the late afternoon pain free and totally satisfied with the experience. I hightly recommend Dr. Richard A. Shlofmitz himself as well as his staff from booking an appointment with Amy to the hospial staff at St. Francis

The real deal
Telehealth
This man is a gem. Doesn’t get better. Not only brilliant but kind. Caring , reassuring, personable. The list goes on and on. Calls back. Himself. Calls when he says he will. Despite being super busy, he never blows his patients off. He reassured me, he let me have a good night’s sleep for the first time in weeks and he goes above and beyond. I just Love him !!! Everything about him. I’ll trust him with my life again and again.

Angiogram on June 26th 2023
The entire process at St Francis. The staff of nurses, technicians, and PA,s were fantastic. They were compassionate and did their specific jobs very professionally. Dr. Shlotmitz was excellent in performing the angiogram procedure and came to my wife and I to explain the results.

A Life-Saving Journey Guided by Dr. Richard A. Shl
I cannot express enough gratitude for the exceptional care and expertise provided by Dr. Richard A. Shlofmitz during my recent coronary angiogram. His keen eye and meticulous attention to detail uncovered blockages in my arteries and Dr. Shlofmitz's swift action and professional demeanor throughout the process saved my life, and for that, I am forever grateful. From the moment I met Dr. Shlofmitz's, I was immediately put at ease by his warm and compassionate nature. He patiently listened to my concerns, taking the time to explain the angiogram procedure and its importance in diagnosing potential blockages. His ability to simplify complex medical jargon allowed me to fully comprehend the gravity of the situation while feeling confident in his hands. During the coronary angiogram, Dr. Shlofmitz's expertise shone brightly. His precise technique and sharp eye detected not just one or two blockages, but a staggering five that were compromising my heart's health. The depth of his knowledge

Awesome Cardiologist
I went into St. Francis Hospital to see Dr. Shlofmitz on the referral of my cardiologist. The hospital staff were all kind, considerate and patient. Dr. Shlofmitz was going to do 1 stent, but the angiogram showed more. He was able to stent 2 and avoid by-pass surgery. Fantastic!

Smart but Impatient and Difficult to Talk To
I’ve been using this doctor for quite a few years. While he is very knowledgeable, he gets annoyed, sarcastic, and talks down to you if you ask too many questions and shows no empathy whatsoever. His basic attitude is “Shut up, do what I’m telling you because I know best, don’t question anything and stop bothering me.” Instead of helping to calm things down and help you feel better, he actually adds stress to the situation and makes you feel upset and terrible. He is relatively easy to reach by phone, but when you are in the actual office, others take your information, he comes in for maybe two minutes if you are lucky, and leaves. Absolutely no desire to connect with the patient.

Every opportunity
Entered ER in 2001 with heart attach. Dr. Schlofmitz calmly led me through options and he implanted two right descending stents. Now 82 and 21 years later, my heart has performed without incident. Thank you Dr. Schlofmitz yet again.

Amazing Doctor and Team!
I am a super active, in shape 59-year-old man with CAD. Dr Shlofmitz and his amazing team took care of me IN EVERY WAY, IN EVERY MOMENT from the first phone call to me leaving St Francis. 2 stents in my circumflex, 2 stents in my highly calcified LAD. After feeling very uneasy with the doctor I was seeing I reached out to his office on a Friday. Dr Shlofmitz called me late Friday evening, put me at ease and on Monday I was at St Francis. Could not be more thankful for this AMAZING man and his team. Thank you!

Top Interventinal Cardiologist
In spite of being on a Mediterranean diet and taking Pravastatin and Zetia for the last 17 years and being on a whole food plant-based no oil added vegan diet for the last 5 years, I developed significant blockages in two main coronary arteries almost one year ago. Richard Shlofmitz diagnosed the problem on an angiogram and carefully placed stents in both arteries. I'm almost 70 years old and no longer have any chest pain, I go for vigorous walks without a trace of angina, thanks to Dr. Richard Shlofmitz. I highly recommend him!

There are not enough stars to properly rate and sing my praises for Dr. Shlofmitz. He saved both my parents. Dr. Shlofmitz has been so kind, responsive, extremely communicative, and promptly and proactively followed up with test results and recommended treatment plans. He truly makes his patients (and me, as a concerned daughter) feel special. They just don’t make doctors like Dr. Shlofmitz anymore – he is THE gold standard.

After a MI and two stents at another hospital where 911 took me, I emailed Dr Shlofmitz that the spasm had subsided but had not gone. Sir called me at 5 am and gave me confidence. I saw him, upon discharge, with the CD. After his golden hands did my angio and another stent, the spasms never returned!! I am his grateful patient since 2013! He does EVERYTHING right all the time! God bless him and his wonderful family! Chandra Anand

I have an appointment with Dr. Schlofmitz tomorrow. I have been under his care for about 5 years. He inserted the "Watchman" in to my heart to prevent any further strokes. I suffered a massive stroke in 2012, and was in the boon docks but I was given tPA and IV blood thinner. I recovered almost 100 percent. I decided St. Francis was for me and I was assigned to Dr. Levine and Dr. Scholfmitz. I was on many blood thinners and we discussed the Watchman that I had researched because I had A-Fib which could not be ablated. On 11/18 at he age of 85 he inserted the Watchman. I made on blood thinners for less than 6 months and now take one 325mg Ecotrin daily which is a coated aspirin. Dr. Schlofmitz has recently been promoted to head of Cardiology at St. Francis. His college, Joseph Levine is now head of the arrhythmia department at St.Francis. I am lucky to be followed by two of the finest specialists in the treatment of heart disorder.. .
