Very caring and intuitive neurologist

ZERO STARS. I visited Richard Schumann and was extremely disappointed with my experience. He misdiagnosed me and told me that I was perfectly fine when I had a severe neurological condition. His lack of attention to detail and expertise led me to suffer for a year (and counting), thinking that everything was alright. He was not willing to listen to my concerns and didn't take the time to properly diagnose me. He seemed more interested in getting me out of his office than in providing an accurate diagnosis. I would not recommend Richard Schumann to anyone, and I advise others to be very cautious before seeking treatment from him. He is not a professional in his field and does not take the patients' concerns seriously.

Dr. Is knowledgeable, listens to all concerns, will explain to family members, doesn’t rush through examinations, answers all questions and explains treatment plan well. Stays positive has good long time skill lacking in most professionals “Bedside manner”. Have had as Neurologist since 2015

I was so surprised to have this doctor actually listen to what I told him. He is the best! I went in with major problems, plus a fear of all doctors, and Dr. Schumann helped me find the other side.

Dr Schumann has been the doctor for my son who had a TBI on 2008 and now doctor for my mother who has Alzheimer's. He is very thorough and takes time with his patients. He is also friendly and engaging and puts patients and caregivers at ease. He never seems rushed with us in appointments and is never condescending. I think he actually likes being a doctor, likes his patients and cares about them. His office manager is helpful courteous as well. I think he schedules well because we have not had to wait long in the waiting room ever.

I'm a physician myself so I'm pretty discerning about other physicians. I had the opportunity to accompany a friend/family member to see Dr. Richard Schumann, MD, Neurologist in RB. I very much liked him and so did my 'patient'. He was warm and caring but also very thorough and pragmatic. He was willing to answer questions, good listener, and seemed to be able to take in the whole history with good understanding. Gave good solid advice. I think you'd like him if you need a Neurologist

I'll try not to be dramatic here, but Dr. Schumann gave me my life back. I was disgnosed with narcolepsy, and for many I've met it can be debilitating and lead to a life on disability. Fortunately I was able to get on a medication regimen that helped my daily functioning. I'll be graduating with a Master of Social Work degree in August and I absolutely could not have done it without him. He is amazing, cares about you, and goes above and beyond for his patients.

I accompanied my sister in law to her first visit with Dr. Schumann. He evaluated her for dementia. He was thorough, kind and encouraging. Even when she made mistakes, he responded with a pleasant tone and continued to encourage her. He made appropriate jokes and kept an otherwise potentially stressful and upsetting situation light. I couldn't be happier with this first visit. I highly recommend Dr. Schumann.

He is my mother's Dr and I go with her to all her dr appointments,after two previous neurologists we had horrible experience with jerks I have to say he is awesome physician ,he listened to my mother and to me with respect and we where able to help him with the treatment / diagnosis.
