After reading reviews I would never go see this doctor if the staff is as bad as the reviews state. No Doctor is good enough if the staff stinks. If a staff is real bad it doesn't matter how good the doctor is if they are unable to do the job correctly.

Too Busy
Dr. Hays is too busy to see you. You get a different practitioner every time. He doesn't appear to be a sincere doctor anymore since the office runs on how many people can be seen in one day. Office staff doesn't answer the phones, you have to leave a message. Even if you have been on medication for a long time and your doing well, they make you come in for refills. Of course to get more money.

Sold practice with no prior notice to patient's cancelled my appointment then refused to see me with PA ..even out of network I was left to find a Dr and have never even got my medical records it's been months now!!

Zero stars!!! I have posted several reviews about my terrible experiences with this office. I am bloody well trying to leave it is so bad. I found a new pediatrician for my kids and have been requesting the records from Dr. Hays' office since 9/23/2021. They are still nowhere to be found. The pediatrician's office and I have called repetedly and requested that the records be sent over, but you rarely ever talk to anyone at Hays' office and the office personnel NEVER EVER return calls. Today, I finally get thru to a human and she tells me that the office manager (Debbie Hays ?) processed the request in their system on 10/11/21 (2 weeks after the initial request was sent and confirmed). I got the Complete Health Mgmt Corp number from front desk person who gave it to me after I told them I am in the process of filing a formal complaint with the state of florida DOH. I spoke w/ Genesis Complete Health Mgmt Corp, the account mgr, and they have never received a records request.

ABSOLUTELY WORST! If I could give zero stars I would. I have been going here for many years and the only time I saw Dr. Hays was my very first visit, after that it was PA after PA and no doctor. I hang in there because I did not want to hop skip and jump with doctors and also the PA was not bad but still I was paying for a doctor and getting PA services. I recently went there and was told that in less than 30 days away from that visit they would no longer be accepting my insurance. What a shocker and scramble! I called the front desk shortly after that date because I had not found a doctor yet and needed a medication refill, the staffer was so rude and basically tells me it is what it is and its not their fault and they cannot do anything for me because they no longer accept my insurance. For a darn medication refill that i needed so desperately!!!!! DO NOT GO HERE EVEN IF YOUR LIFE DEPENDS ON IT. THEY OFFERED NO SUGGESTION, THEY ARE RUDE & DON'T CARE ESPECIALLY THE FRONT DESK!

I don't recommend going to Dr. Hays office. I went to the office six months ago, was prescribed a prescription but never had a follow up. The office refill my prescription but didn't bother to find out how the medication was working or not. I called them and was told they couldn't see me because they were leaving my Insurance network.

Horrible. The office doesn't call you back or answer the phone during business hours. I've been waiting 2 weeks for my authorization request be sent to my insurance company because they say their fax machine is down! unacceptable!

Actually have never seen this doctor. there is always a PA or RN there to see me. Sometimes a doctor. It used to be OK. But now, it doesn't matter what time of the day I call, no one answers the phone. I have tried for almost a week to get a return call ---no luck. I am changing doctors!

I strongly recommend against going to Dr. Hayes’ office after a negative string of experiences I had in July 2020. Dr. Hayes' office staff were profoundly rude, including using vulgarity, and I spent less than 10 minutes with the actual doctor (after waiting for almost an hour). I will never return to Dr. Hayes' office.

I left yrs ago!! Prettelt family health with Dr Aleman and nurse practitioner kim are great!!! Shannon is great too!! Who would stick with a dr who you never see and could care less about anything but money!!

Poor, no one answers the phone, and if I haven’t been in for an appointment for 6 months, they won’t fill any prescriptions. With everything going on, in between jobs no insurance yet. Called on to get a prescription filled, left a message, after several attempts. No response, called, got a live person, said was given to the Dr, if a problem, I would called. No call, no prescription called in. Now the weekend, will try again Monday. This has happened multiple times.

I honestly don't think I would be alive if not for Dr Hays and his staff! I am 73 and have been a patient for at least 30 years! I've survived Stage 4 Metastatic Malignant Melanoma, Shingles, a hip replacement, MRSA, Sarcoidosis, SEPSIS and several cases of Flu! His staff is Fantastic from the front desk to check out. Dr Hays' associates have been very compassionate and have researched my conditions to refer me to the appropriate specialist to expedite my treatments! I thank everyone there for treating me with respect and kindness no matter what my issue has been!

The office staff is pathetic. Constant problems with billing, insurance AND apparently they lost my blood somewhere between the office and the lab! HOW IS THAT POSSIBLE?!?!? I've been waiting 3 weeks for results and have gotten nothing but a run around and empty promises about "we'll call you tomorrow"......only to never receive a call! I've been a patient at that office for almost 6 years and have wanted to see Dr Hayes numerous times, only to be shuffled off to assistants. Although they have done fine work, I'm just curious, Does the elusive Dr Hayes even exist?
