2 Total Knee Replacements in 5 months.
Excellent I don't have near enough space to write the review I want. I am a 28-year Certified Nurse Assistant who has walked on concrete floors al through my career. It finally got me. I had my 1st Total Knee Replacement July 29, 2024. My 2nd Total Knee Replacement came December 27, 2024. The care from his staff was nothing short of a miracle. I had very little swelling. No redness at all. My legs of course did bruise both times. Leg knee described as one in a pothole. The right knee had collapsed. Through it all, Dr Brown gave me back my quality of life. I have retired since my 1st replacement, but my goal is to go back to my job and work part-time. The key is to do the rehab. I had Home Health therapy for 2 weeks and outpatient therapy for 2 weeks both times. My last knee bend was 134 degrees. If you don't choose to do the therapy required, you can't place the blame on your surgeon. I didn't realize that I had given care to hundreds of Dr. Brown's patients until I became one myself

Cannot get thru on phone system
Have been trying for days to return a call from Dr. Brown's nurse. System does not work. Press 4 to leave a message. Rings and rings with no opportunity to leave a message. Problem is with Baptist, patient care is terrible. One hour in exam room waiting on Dr. , One month wait to get an MRI, four days and counting to get results. And this is the best in Louisville, pitiful.

My husband had a left hip replacement. He also has other medical issues as well. We felt Dr. Reid went above and beyond accommodating us: scheduling surgery ASAP as my husband was in so much pain; taking precautions to address his other conditions. I would highly recommend him as I honestly feel he’s the best! His staff was also extremely efficient and caring as well. We’re excited to start off the new year being able to walk and get around without pain!

Had first knee replacement in July, the negative pressure bandage worked wonders for the scar, just a thin pencil line is all that is visible. My best advise is to "own your pain" and to "ice ice baby." Highly recommend purchasing a Polar Pack/Active Ice recirculating cooler. First two weeks I iced probably 18 hrs a day. I'm 3.5 weeks post surgery and doing great! Going to PT three times a week, started walking .6 mile two days ago. Second knee replacement scheduled for mid October. (61 year old male)

Saw him 1/2018, my husband didn’t like him & said he doesn’t act like he wants to help you.Went back 1/2019 because I could barely walk, after over an hour of waiting & being told my chart had been lost the dr finally came in. He went straight to needing bariatric surgery so I could have a knee replacement. All he did was fat shaming the whole appointment, didn’t care about my knee.2 weeks later I saw another surgeon who knew the only option was knee replacement & never mentioned my weight.

Dr. Brown is one of the most skilled physicians I have ever encountered. I had a hip replacement done by one of his "office partners" that was a disaster. I had to have several surgeries and endured months of pain. Dr. Brown came to my rescue to perform the hip revision and recovery. It was a difficult surgery and he could have easily declined to have me as a patient. I will be forever grateful for his skill as a surgeon, his honesty, his bedside manner, and keeping me informed. Thank you!

Dr. Brown was very concerned about my pre-existing health conditions that put me high risk for surgery. He made sure we discussed the risks at each conversation including right before they wheeled me into surgery. Surgery went great. Recovery so far is great. Now, office staff...not so great. Surgery scheduler would not call me back even though her VM said she would call it 24 hrs. More like 7 days. She never did call me me with surgery date. Found out from another appt. Hard to make appts.

I have called exactly 8 times today. If it is this difficult to find a Surgeon, ask a question or even speak to human than clearly I need another doctor or doctors office! One that will answer the phone, thank God this isn't an emergency -yet! You should be ashamed of yourselves if this is how you treat your current patients!
