Knowlegable and Comforting
It went very well. I have seeing Dr. Patel for over a year now and I'm totally pleased with way makes you feel at ease while he exams your eyes. I told him I had some irritation in my left eye so he looked at it and discovered two stitches had come loose from a previous cornea transplant by another eye doctor. He took them out and my eye felt so much better. I have the utmost confidence and trust in him. I'm also impressed with all his staff who are so accomodating, helpful, and competent.

I was very glad that I reached out to Dr Patel for a second opinion. I knew I was facing surgery and very scared. He took the time to explain exactly what I was needing, the risk, and even didn't encourage 2 surgeries like the previous physicians. He was very knowledgeable and calming. My surgery is now scheduled and I'm still nervous but also see that my future sight can be enhanced.

Patient
Dr. Patel was timely in his appointments and through in explanation to me on my eye condition with my limited options. I was referred to Dr. Patel rather than traveling to a specialist in Miami or Atlanta I feel fortunate to have an experienced Corenea specialist in Jacksonville who has successful experience in my upcoming procedure of a transplant in his portfolio.

Dr. Patel did surgery on both of my eyes near the end of 2020. I followed his instructions and was thrilled with the success! I had no adverse effects; no pain, no swelling. When I opened my eyes after surgery, my vision was clear and I could instantly (clearly) read print without glasses or any visual aids or assistance. I no longer need glasses except reading glasses for tiny or out of focus materials. I AM PLEASED AND THRILLED!
