Dr. Rashmi Vasappa, DO

I had a virtual appointment with Dr. Rashmi Vasappa, and it was a disheartening experience. Her demeanor was incredibly rude and condescending. Unfortunately, she couldn't provide any clarity on my symptoms, leaving me frustrated and disappointed. It's concerning that someone with such a cold approach is entrusted with caring for people in need.

Rude and unhelpful. Would not even write a note for my employer to excuse absences, but instead directed me to give my employer the appointment summary, which included a lot of personal medical information that I most definitely DON’T want to give to my employer. Said I should go to the emergency room. I have very mild COVID; I am not having a stroke. This was telemed and I am in Austin, Texas.

I had a telemedicine visit with this physician for allergy symptoms. I reside in Austin, Texas where we experience some of the worst ongoing allergy seasons in the country. I have been struggling with severe allergy symptoms for almost 5 years. I have been evaluated by multiple physicians including an allergist. I show no indication of any other conditions other than seasonal allergies. I described these symptoms to the doctor asking for steroids which have been prescribed to me multiple times and are the only solution, at times. The doctor was rude, condescending, unreceptive and frankly acted like I had no idea what I was talking about. She told me to go to the ER which I strongly feel is an extremely inappropriate recommendation. Her rude manner only escalated when I explained my primary care physician had confirmed I do suffer from seasonal allergies after examining me in the past. This was a horrible experience, I hope to never interact with this doctor virtually again.

No option to follow-up post tele consultation

Horrible! Zero stars. Telephone appointment. She was so rude. (She even corrected my pronunciation of one of my meds.) Loud kids in the background. She refused to give me her name when I asked for it. Then she put totally different information on my consultation summary.
