Beware
I recommend thinking twice before investing your time or your health with this doctor. After spending 14 years under his care, delaying needed treatment while paying for unnecessary procedures (sometimes directly out of pocket, like for collagen cross linking therapy which was a waste of time & money), he finally passed me off to another doctor rather then provide the surgical care I needed to correct my vision problems. His main focus is in making as much money as he can off of his patients, and wastes your time while doing it. I’ve had to reschedule many visits after waiting well over an hour after my appointment time to see him. I ended up having to seek proper medical care from another provider.

Very caring
Initial visit for cataract surgery was very informative, but there was a lot of pressure to upsell lenses. Also a lot of pressure to order prescriptions from their selected pharmacy instead of my own. The surgery itself was well handled. I was always comfortable and kept informed. Dr. M. is chatty during surgery and kept up a running description of what was going on, which I found interesting. I had the surgery yesterday and have experienced no pain. Staff was friendly and caring and even humorous. Jut be aware of the upselling.

I see Dr. Malhotra for my eye care. I am nearsighted. He really cares about my eyes. He always explains everything to me so I can understand it. I really appreciate his time helping make my eyes better. My parents also see him for their eye care. I am proud to recommend him to my friends. Thanks Dr. Malhotra!

I initially saw Dr. Malhotra for dry eyes. He had me come every 6 months for eye exams because he told me I had the beginnings of retinopathy and narrow angle glaucoma. 2 months ago he told me I needed to have surgery immediately for the glaucoma because I could go blind if I did not handle this situation soon. I decided to get a second opinion and saw a retina specialist and a glaucoma specialist at Washington University. Both doctors were quite perplexed as to why I was there because they found nothing wrong with my eyes. I made 2 visits to them and had 10 different people examine my eyes and they all came to the same conclusion. In fact, the glaucoma specialist told me "I had the peripheral vision of a 16 year old" something Dr. Malhotra told me was concerning to him as it was not good. I had several people recommend Dr. Malhotra but after knowing what I know now I could not recommend him to my worst enemy. I almost had an unnecessary surgery. And the office staff is rude.

I have had three appointments with Dr. Malhotra, every appt. is the same eye test after eye test and back to a waiting area on every trip it's about 2 hours before I see him he tells me I am no better but keep taking the vitamins and reschedule on your way out. I will not be going back, have found a new Dr. where I don't have to sit for 2hours. I do not recommend Malhotra.

My eyes are terribly because I have cornea dystrophy with having that I had to have cornea transplant in both eyes. I have many other things wrong too. I went to Dr Mohltra for cateract surgery a couple of months ago for my right eye. Just went back Monday for check up on the right eye from surgery. I just found out that I'm seeing 20/20. That is unbelievable the odds of that happening was very slim. Thank you Dr Malhotra i have full faith in him! He is very nice too. Fully recommend Dr Mohl
