My cataract surgery was excellent - no pain, and wonderful results!

Worst care possible, not just the surgeon but the entire set up. Patients are run through test after test without any explanation. I told the surgeon At my first consultation that I knew the refractions for my eyes were wrong, but he said they could adjust that at the time of surgery. He also talked me into paying $3,000 for astigmatism correction which didn’t happen. The surgery center is a huge room of patients in beds waiting for surgery with no personal care whatsoever. The surgeons never come out to talk to patients beforehand. I felt rushed out the door after both cataract surgeries. The DOs during after checks kept telling me I have 20/20 vision which I knew wasn’t true. I’ve been back in for more surgery in February with no improvement, so now I’ll have more surgery March 26 for which they will pay. So uncaring and so incorrect. Clarkson Eyecare sent me here. I do not recommend this place to anyone ever.

Dr. Gira may be a very good doctor, but I only spoke to him for a few minutes. when I called back with questions before my cataract surgery, the staff was very rude. Dr. Gira does not speak to you during surgery and the appointments afterwards are very brief with another doctor. Also, be sure to check and see if the Anesthesia is in network, because it is billed separately and is usually out-of-network so you will pay full price

He is both knowledgeable and an expert in his field. He is gentle and answers questions throughly. He is a busy man but well worth the wait.

Dr. Gira takes the time to listen to his patients. He explains the diagnosis/situation so that it is easy to understand and he asks if we have questions. Both Dr. Gira and his staff are kind and helpful.

?Years ago I had detached retinas in the right eye (29 years ago), then the left (27 years). I had Sclera Buckle procedures done at that time. Years of treatments, contacts and glasses and glaucoma drops (10 years) and cataracts. My vision sucked! Dr. Gira cleared it all up in 2 surgeries in 2 days . With the cataract and lens replacement, with a Cypass stint (glaucoma) and some incisions to fix the astigmatism, I can now see better than I ever have. It's a miracle. Thank you Dr Gira!

I went into the office not knowing what to expect and when I left I was IMPRESSED. The whole experience was wonderful. This office runs like a fine tuned machine. All of the staff was polite and happy to address all of my questions. When I met with Dr. Gira he was kind, reassuring and patient. I'm so glad I came to him for my surgery consult. I was able to schedule my surgery the same day I was there. He also has a Research Department you can look into and see if you qualify for a trial.

My experience with Dr. Gira, Erin Sullivan, Jenn and staff was amazing. Cataracts removed from both eyes. I was made very comfortable and kept updated on what to expect with each step. Choosing Dr. Gira for my Lasik procedure was definitely the right decision. He is friendly, caring, and makes you feel very comfortable by thoroughly explaining the procedure and in answering any questions you may have.
