Lumbar Stenosis
Dr. Saigal checked in on me before surgery. Don't anything until in hospital room. Some pain in hips. Release to return home after being able to walk. Now 3 weeks post surgery. No pain and slight neuropathy in feet. Still no bending or carrying over 10 lbs. Walking about 5000 steps daily. Cleared to drive short distance. Excellent surgery!

Excellent surgeon
Dr. Saigal did a complicated surgery to correct my spinal deformity. I am now able to stand up straight and couldn't be happier with the results. He is an excellent surgeon and very caring. He took time with me in all of our visits to make sure all my questions were answered.

very bad experience with Dr Ragiv Saigal
I had very bad experience with Dr Ragiv Saigal. I was/am suffering with lower back pain due to herniated L4-L5 disc. I went to Washington township hospital where Dr Rajiv Saigal working and he suggested for surgery after reviewing the MRI. He performed microdiscectomy surgery and discharged on same day . After 5 days my pain level increased and informed to same thing to Dr. . In these 5 days I didn't do anything i was completely on rest except 30 min walk per day as per DR suggestions. After surgery the situation was very worst since my pain level increased and started tingling and numbness. He gave steroids for 6 days. After that I took MRI and came to know that there was no change before surgery and after surgery in my herniated disc. I have informed same thing to the Dr and he said that disc is re herniated and surgery required again. I asked him what the guarantee that the disc will not re herniated after 2nd surgery and how is it possible the disc will re herniated within one

Competent, calm, and kind
My daughter had a falling tree branch accident that left her bleeding with broken 2nd vertebra and dissected vertebral artery. She was moved inexpertly by bystanders, and we feared she would become quadriplegic. Expert surgery and care provided by Dr. Saigal saved her. He inspired confidence, and provided excellent care not just to her but for us, the terrified family. In a horrible situation, it was the best thing that happen to us. We were so lucky he was on call that day.

Dr. Saigal performed a spinal fusion operation on me last year, and a spinal decompression sugery this year. He is over the top skilled, a really excellent surgeon. But more than that, he is a great person to have caring for you, because he does care. He is concerned and empathetic, a truly kind and relatable person. He is leaving Seattle for SF, which is our loss and their gain.

Dr. Sakhalin recently diagnosed and successfully performed lower back (lumbar) surgery that corrected a defect and eliminated the substantial pain I was suffering. His understanding of the problem and how to correct it with a minimally invasive approach was amazing. I can stand and walk pain free again!

Highly recommend Dr. Saigal following the results of my cervical spine injury. In addition to the impressive post-op outcome, Dr. Saigal has been very accessible and engaged in following my case. He is personable and clear in his communications. I consider myself fortunate to have had him as my surgeon.

Dr. Saigal recently performed a tilf of S1-L4 on my spine on 7/29, and I couldn’t be happier with the results. Although I’m having the usual post op pain, my foot drop and neuro deficits have already shown vast improvement. From my first appointment until now, he accomplished more than I could’ve hoped. He’s extremely personable, intelligent, and a very gifted surgeon. I would recommend him to anyone with a spine injury.

I have given his card to at least 20 people after the extraordinary care he gave me for very large disc herniation of L4. He did microdiscectomy two weeks after my first appointment with him at Harborview Medical Center and I can't say enough wonderful things about him and everyone at Harborview who took care of me before and after surgery!
