Dr. Rajiv Desai, MD

dr Desai tells u the truth and takes his time with his patients. I was operated on oct 12 and had a spinal fusion. I got awesome care from all involved. His office staff is as wonderful as he is. Couldn’t ask for better care

I’ve had multiple lumbar and a cervical surgery with Dr. Desai. He was always professional and caring.

Very disappointed. Had all information, was referred to Dr. Desai by my pain management Dr. In Bangor. Took months to get an appt. My appt was not set up with a Dr. Curry who is also a pain management Dr. My pain management doctor tried to bypass the visit with Curry so I could see Dr. Desai. Was told that was protocol. I was told to have various information when I came to my appt. which I did. Dr. Curry never took the complete info I brought. He barely even checked me out. Did a couple presses on my feet which I still had my boots on. Never physically checked my spine. Came in and talk lower back pain, even after MRI images and report fir thoracic and lumbar spine scoliosis were sent which is what the referral was. After maybe a 15 to 20 minute visit he suggested more medications and wanted to do an injection which I already get from my Dr. In Bangor. I was not happy, I drove three hours for this appt and three hours back home. Just a waste of my time which I had hopes.

Dr. Desai was patient and professional. He didn't treat us with the utmost respect and even kept my very young daughter smiling. He offered treatment options without being pushy or forceful and was kind enough to actually take the time to provide my wife, a nurse, the details as I was in too much pain to keep track of all the details. On the morning of both my surgeries, he took the time to meet with us and review the surgery plan and to make sure we didn't have any additional or new questions.
