Mitral valve replacement and Tricuspid repair.
I was diagnosed with a heart murmur in 2016, I had yearly echocardiograms that showed I was doing well. In 2021 my echocardiogram showed I was in congestive heart failure and needed a Mitral valve replacement. I was scheduled for surgery at TMC but got cancelled twice due to covid patients overwhelming the hospital. I was scared and frustrated. Dr Bose took the time to call me to hear my complaints and to reassure me that I would get my surgery as soon as possible. I had my surgery on November 22nd, Dr Bose found that my tricuspid valve needed repaired also. I had follow ups with Dr. Bose and he reviewed my medications with me and reduced or omitted them as needed. He never made me feel rushed and answered my questions. I'm alive and doing well. I'm grateful for his expertise. I sometimes waited past my appointment time, but this is because he does take the time to answer questions and explain things to his patients.

Initial meeting has been a positive one.
So far my experiences and meetings with Dr Bose has been good. He has been very cordial and thorough explaining to me what is going to happen during my mitral valve replacement I will follow up with my review of his services and staff once I get done with my valve replacement but so far all is good I hope others are having a good experience with him and his staff so far as well

Mitral valve repair
Dr Bose did my open heart surgery mitral valve repair back in October. While in there he also tightened my tricuspid valve and repaired a hole in my septal wall. Happily I bounced back quickly with no complications! I would highly recommend Dr Bose and the Northwest Medical Center staff for this type procedure. Everyone was awesome!

I’m the new nervous patient.
Dr Bose was very professional on my first visit, and honest about my heart issues. I’ll be having Ascending Aortic Aneurysm Repair which makes me nervous as most people would be. However, I feel I’m in great hands and after reading some negative reviews the positive ones out weigh those. Therefore I’ll intrust my life saving help in the hands of this great surgeon.

Adequate surgeon...horrible human
Scheduled me for CABG 4 times. Twice he came to my hospital room to tell me he was rescheduling me because someone else needed the surgery more than I did. Third time he blamed the CEO of the hospital. He spent maybe a total of 15 minutes talking to me the entire two weeks I was in the hospital. Very rude manner. The only positive thing about him is the surgery went well.

He is the best! I had to have emergency bypass (x4 vessels) and because my heart was so damaged, I "arrested" on the table. He and his team worked hard to save my life and kept my family informed daily. I was in CCU for 5 weeks and went home walking and talking. Couldn't ask for a more informed, experienced and kind doctor. Bedside manner is excellent.

Before my husband was having quadruple bypass surgery we checked the reviews of different heart surgeons. Dr. Bose had mostly great reviews, but I also noticed reviews that were not favorable. Having been in customer service for over 45 years I know you cannot be on top of everyone's list. But to me the bottom line was can they do the job right the first time. The good reviews Dr. Bose received concerned the results of his surgical expertise. That was the most important thing to us. He came through with flying colors and was pleasant; plus he had a sense of humor. I would definitely recommend Dr. Bose to anyone considering similar surgery.

On Nov. 23 2020 Dr. Bose did a minimally invasive procedure to repair my mitral valve . While doing procedure he noticed my tricuspid valve also needed repair, which he did . I think he is highly qualified and did a great job . I have experienced no post surgery issues and am well on my way to a full recovery.

My cardiac event went smoothly from start to finish. Surgery was on July 1 and the 35th visit to cardiac rehab marked the end of provider care. Dr. Bose and his team were always informative and easy to work with. The care was excellent and I would recommend Dr. Bose to everyone I know.

Dr. Bose is an absolute professional. He performed bypass surgery on me sixteen months ago. There were zero complications and I am doing great. I consider Dr Bose one of the finest surgeons in the country and I am thankful he was there for me. I have nothing but praise for him.

He is the worst Dr I have ever know! My father asked him to listen to his heart and he said NO I already saw your x-ray (that was from 2 weeks ago and showed a large amount of fluid in his lungs) then left and walked into another patients room! He is very inconsiderate and has no concern or care for his patients! Do not recommend in any way!!!!

Dr. Bose did an excellent job of replacing my aortic valve. I had a bicuspid valve and didn't know it, it got badly infected. Other local doctors thought I was suffering side effect-symptoms from another medication, but I was actually suffering from heart failure. The hospital flew me into Tucson from Yuma and he was able to do the hard work to save my life. He told my husband that it was a good thing that he brought me in when he did. We were in total shock and I was thankful to God to be in such good hands.

Dr Bose saved my husband’s life at least twice in 2006, had bypass with many complications, not because of Dr. Bose. I can report that 12 years later the husband is doing great. If we lived in the Tucson area and had to have cardiac surgery, we wouldn’t accept anyone but Dr. Bose. How do you thank someone for saving your loved one’s life?

My mother, at age 98, needed to have her aortic valve replaced. Dr. Bose came highly recommended, and we simply love him. I came with a long list of questions, and he patiently answered every one. Dr. Bose performed the necessary surgery and then kept a close eye on my mother's recovery. My mother is 99 now and doing well. We are unimaginably grateful to Dr. Raj Bose. I highly recommend this surgeon.

While one does not go to a cardio surgeon for entertainment but for technical skill, it is nonetheless important that good physicians connect with patients. Dr Bose apparently skipped Social Relationships 101 in med school. He is impatient and seems to strive to spend as little time conversing with patients, including answering their questions as possible. Curt almost to the point of rudeness. I had the sense that I was an inconvenience. Skillful with a scaple but zero bedside manner.
